I really love Cirque du Soleil. not just the things they can do but the teamwork and bonds of the performers themselves. in ever video i've seen they help eachother if someone makes a mistake or try to take the attention away from that person while he recovers from the mistake. that's just something you don't normaly see.

Courtiers without a court, the Old Birds admire their reflections in the mirrorless frames, but they are only empty shells, shadows of their former selves. The young people are the bronx, the little one in whithe who begins the show is a nymph . . . This is no just a beautifull show it is very interestinf also. salu2

They are in the circus because a circus stands for the complete opposite of the olimpics or a sport as such.

Circus is altruistic. Artists showing their skills in a circus want to make other people happy/ impressed/ stunned, etc. While sportsmen practicing for the olimpics and showing their skills in the competitions want to prove themselves. They want medals, prizes, etc. Insofar they´re egoistic. Short said: Sport is not an art. But circus definitly is one.

First time I saw this, I was channel surfing and stopped on Bravo showing Alegria because of the music for this act for some reason. At first I though "blech, a circus," but by the time this act was over I had to find and reattach my jaw. This is, IMO, the best act in their best show.

I like how they work the spotters for the acrobats and the mechanics (put up/tear down) into the show, like the big fellow on the mat and the angels and so on. Gets the work done without detracting from the whole thing.

I have no idea why they didn't do the Power Track act where they performed in my town. It was in a arena though but on the stage I saw the cutout X part with another layer of stage on top. But they never did the act, can someone tell me why?

It is possible that they had technical difficulties with the power track. They sometimes rotate certain acts out to give performers breaks and such. I will say though, you lost a big part of Alegria because this is a great, fun act to see live.

I have seen Alegria only two days ago in Dubai. Wow! That's all I can say. I wish this show would have never finished. What I find amazing is that all their acts look so effortless, and every single person on stage plays an important role! Great show, lots of work and training behind the scenes.
