I expect the situation in HK will be worse. The biggest problem is the high housing cost. High housing cost directly convert into high living cost. If housing cost is low, people don't need to work extra long hours to pay for rent or mortgages. Right now, many HK couples has to both work to live. They can't afford to have kids and educate their kids. That leads to another social problem of kids having wrong family values.
In the past 50 years, everything changed in HK. However, one aspect never change, the poor getting poorer and the rich is getting richer. Government of HK has a lot to do and catch up with this shameful problem. Those people built up HK form the 50's and 60's are getting old and helpless and we should focus to help them in a higher priority.
the HK govt officials are selfish. they only care about their jobs and well being. therefore they'll listen and act according to whomever provide them the greatest benefit.
@laueric89 You are so right about this.Actually it always has been like that when the damn British in there before, they did not give a shit to the poor people.
Those Hong Kong leaders have no ideas whatsoever how to run the Govt, people have no reason to live like this.
