I have to say this is one of the weakest game of the series!

It should have add more interesting tracks and new special cars so suck to know

that you're going to drive the same special cars again!

And it doesn't as fast as other special cars of the prevoius titles like RR5

Which the angelus got 500+km/h top speed and bunch of super weird cars

that's got some insane performances!

Graphics is not what a PS3 standard too.

Someone, anyone, I'm playing the demo and I had to sign on here and ask, HOW the heck do I steer like above? There were no tutorials or nothing to show you how to steer. Everytime I move left or right hard my car completely spins around, or if i press square to break, I lose speed! I was so frustrated that all the turns suck. What am I doing wrong?!

Two things: A) You're trying to drift using the brake, don't drift that way, use only the gas to drift. Never break on Ridge Racer 7 unless you absolutely have to.

B) When you select your car, you are not paying attention to what kind of car you are choosing. Pay attention to what is written beside "Drift Type" when you confirm your choice of car. Cars that are "Dynamic" drifters, will turn very very loose. I suggest using a "Mid" drifter, and you should do fine.

ok thank you, i will give it another try. Yeah because even if I don't use the break, if I press left or right at a turn my car has totally lost control moving too far left or too far right. I will try a "mid" drifter car like u say.

Just release gas on corners. Try to feel the machine. Try with "mild" or "standart" drift type machines first.

To fuadhyder: To drift, let go of the acceleration and the split second after, hold it down. I recommend you practice on Mist Falls with the Soldat Raggio. That's one way. Or you can tap the brake. Just remember to hit the acceleration right after. (Dynamic vehicles, like the Soldat Raggio, are best for drift.)

o ya! RR is a drifting game and i didn't even know about that. i just though maybe the cpu just copy me "oh well" i though. with RR1 on psx u can take out the game and insert a music disc to hear your own tune while playing.

You can drift 180 degrees left and right consecutively on straights by just releasing and flooring the gas when turning.

Stupidly unrealistic, but Stupidly fun.

I am a huge Gran Turismo fan and have always laughed off "arcade" style racing games as crap and unrealistic but RR7 is a real pleasure to play. So just get used to the fact that it isn't meant to be a sim and enjoy the adrenaline rush!

First of all, Ridge Racer isn't set on a simulator for driving and isn't supposed to be realistic. The game is set during the early future. That is why you get no damage on cars, and the highly unrealistic drifts and such.
