Wow the pictures are pretty good quality considering it was 28 years ago.Which would make you guys oooo I bet well over 40 odd now?I was only 5 back then, lol.
I was there too i was 18 at the time. We were 7th heaven sc from Accrington Lancs.Great memories of us playing football with some skinheads on the prom.Great set of lads. Still got the photos from the best time of my life.
Still remember the ride from North Wales on the back of my mates GP. So many scooters I think the local papers said 10 thousand. And to think I slept through Mary Wells :-( the second night was in the front garden of a guest house under a plastic sheet in the rain-no wonder I have aches and pains these days. Crazy days, so lucky to have lived through them. In the words of Noddy Holder..thanks for the memories
Excellent ,were there in 82 with the Rothwell Crusaders SC . Slept in a tent on the carpark they let us stop on the front , Did any one see the guy on the yamaha rd fall off at the junction . We pissed ourselves.
I'm 43 now and that was one of my 1st trips with the Longhill Scooter Club in Hull, Remember having a minor ruck with some locals cos we were chatting the lasses up. great days, a privilege to ride with the older lads.
That was my first run at Eighteen years old with THE VIRGIN SOLDIERS SCOOTER CLUB...44 now and 4 scoots in the garage and I still love 'em...I've got most of these piccys in my photo album!!!!...Good days...and one of the hottest runs I've EVER been on,it was about 80f all weekend....Cheers.
ditto - one of my first runs-- no scooter for 20 years but still love the scene.a coach load of rockerbillys camr up from brighton (i think) we ( small group from burnley and pendle scooter club) missed a good kicking by seconds some leeds boys weren't so lucky -- the rocker boys got a good hiding on the sat night from the mansfield monsters- good days.
spot on chap,i was there with the scunthorpe rd rats..times will never be the same again,,Sadly. Thanks for the posting anyway, still gonna get busy living..!!
