I saw this movie the first night it was in the theaters because I liked the '71 Michael Caine version and the Ted Lewis novel so much. I was not disappointed!!
Quality=amazing: it's kind of an English slang/phraseology thing, i.e.: "That was a quality goal!" I'm half-British and my 1st wife was English, so I have a tendency to slip into British-English, especially when i'm writing/posting.
I lived their for about eight years all together. The people are really great, but the weather is really, REALLY bad throughout most of he year. Overall, I have to say that I prefer the States by a fair margin. If you get a look in, you should take a trip across the Pond, though.
I would love to visit England!!! That is a big dream of mine, but I don't know how I could afford that! I have a crazy dream where I will run into Miranda in the streets of London!! Hope I'll get to go there someday!!!
As I said, I lived there, I didn't just visit there, so my experience was A LOT different than just visiting. Yeah, London's a great town, there's so many things to do there. It's just that awful weather kept wearing on me while I was there.
When I was younger I was convinced that I was gonna move to England someday, but my mom said that it was too far away and that killed that dream. I think I could handle the weather for a visit, it would be worth it!!!
Too right, like I posted: if you can go the the UK for a visit, take advantage of it. But, if you live there for an extended period, it's a different matter entirely.
That's fine, I didn't think that it would. It's mostly just knee-jerk Englishness, for lack of a better term. Plus I'm planning on buying tickets and heading for South Africa as soon as they announce the group games. Have u ever been to South Africa?
Nope. I am in the US and I have only left the country twice. I went to Canada with my family when I was little and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas on a school chorus trip last year.
Ok. I'm on the east coast. The Bahamas were amazing!! I had so much fun! It is gorgeous there! On the cruise ship we stopped at Nassau and the Royal Caribbean Private Island, CocoCay! I love the trip! After our 3 day cruise we went to Disney World for 2 or 3 days. It was a great trip!
I did a Bahs. & WDW cruise when I was a kid w/my family & some mates of theirs. We docked on a few other islands that I don't remember, except that I'm pretty sure we had a port of call in Jamaica. Of course, I don't think that cruise lines had private islands back in those days.
Yeah, it was a LONG time ago, though. There's a lot of it that I was too young to remember @ the time.

"Nobody likes the list guy!"
"Take care of business, or the business will take care of you!"
Stallone & Rourke are some of the last of the great American tough guy actors.

Miranda Richardson is a quality actress, and Rhona Mitra is a fox, especially back then, IMO.
