i'm from a coast city and always wanted to fly at the beach, unfortunately i don't have an R/C plane myself right now, but just one question, don't you have any trouble with sand when belly-landing in the beach?... i thought it could be a real mess with sand getting all inside the glider...
Sand only get in via the ram air cooling duct in the nose spinner cone. It can mak it through the bulkhead and into the bay, but not much. On one battery I can fly for 30min, but once I land, that's it for the day until I clean out the sand.

Lithium Batteries drive an electric motor with folding props, via a speed controller.

Amazing! My favorite part was when you flew out over the water and you could see the bottom then the dropoff.

Thanks. That's actually a long way out (faith in the gear).
I'll be getting a 1080i HD camera soon, so the clips will be shorter but very clear in HD.
