  • Out of all the items Grover and Piño bring out of the kitchen, I'd eat the cheeseburger, lobster, and hot dog.

  • 18!

  • I love Pino's accent.

  • I'm sure Fat Blue was sad and angry that there was no more orange juice and tuna on toasted bread however, I wonder why he just didn't pick something else to eat from all that huge amount of food piled up on his table. (There probably would have been something on the table that he finds delicious). Then maybe either the next day or next time he comes in, I'm sure "Charlie's Restaurant" will have the orange juice and tuna on toasted bread for him to order and eat.

  • The 3 surviving Muppet performers of the 5 main Muppet Show performers (Henson, Oz, Nelson, Hunt, and Goelz - the ones who appeared throughout all 5 seasons) are all in this sketch.

  • Maybe it's Mr. Johnson. None of the other customers seem to have trouble.

  • the grover line "yes, but someday I hope to direct" is of course a tie in to Oz's own ambitions, which he obviously fulfilled.

  • I would take that Cheeseburger and fries over tuna on toast any day.

  • Well, I'd personally prefer that giant cheezeburger.

  • Haha. Yeah that giant cheeseburger did look delicious.

  • @zacandtaylorrule I agree.

  • I love it when johnson faints!

  • Pino is Dave Goelz

  • Any idea why Dave Goelz hardly ever did sesame street?

I know he did the elephant elevator operator and the china shop owner, but that's about it. I just can't see why he didn't do more.

  • Yeah, it's a befuddling puzzle. I guess I'll need to check muppet wiki.

  • Muppephile again on my other account. Goelz was notorious for his low self-esteem, even into the recent productions and today, as far as I know. This is because he trained as an engineer as opposed to a puppeteer. Sesame street may have been a little too intimidating.

I know it sounds suspicious, but I myself would be similar as a puppeteer. I'm trained as an illustrator, and would hence be better suited to the concept/character design than performing.

  • Thanks. Very interesting. It still seems strange that sesame street would be more intimidating than the muppet show, though.

  • Well, Sesame street was a big network show back in the old days, so it was natural. If you want to know about how much networks can suck, try looking up "The Land of Gorch".

  • I liked it when he says "What! Stop! Come in Here!" at 2:42 to 2:45.

  • Actually, Fat Blue says, "Wait! STop! Come in here!"

  • YAY!!! The clip has finally returned!

I think the crazy high-speed chase scene in the middle is priceless, and I love that nutty music!

  • They sped up the video for which Grover & Pino were seen running back and forth bringing Fat Blue more of the food he didn't want. Therefore, it was sped up because everyone would get bored seeing this whole entire thing happen if it weren't for speeding up the video.

  • I think they actually sped it up for comic effect, to give it kind of a vaudeville flavor. You can see they also loop it backwards and forwards to make it more funnier. The way they look at each other gives it the crazy vaudeville touch.

  • It's possible, I suppose.

  • Benny Hill did the same thing for the same reason.

  • Really?

  • I agree with you.

  • Grover and Pino wasted good food! LOL

  • P,lease upload a few songs from the The Best of Grover CD. Even if its just audio playing over a picture of him

I have been DIEING to here Still We Like Eachother sung by Grover and I cant find it anywhere.

  • There had to be SOMETHING in that stack Mr. Johnson would have liked.

  • Word. He should have eaten the hamburger

  • That certainly would've been a good idea.

  • I wish when we finally see charlie, will see why he hires such incompetent employees.

  • It was either Charlie or, it was Andre Monster who hired both Grover and Pino. (Andre Monster is the manager of Charlie's where he is seen in one skit about Bell Service at Charlie's Restaurant).

  • Maybe Andre took over when Charlie retired. Just my guess.

  • I also guessed the same thing and put this same comment on the "Bell Service" skit thinking Charlie retired and Andre took over and, my comment was replied saying that Charlie is still working there, and the person who replied also mentioned that the owner and manager can be two different people.

  • Yeah I did say that but as that one it's just my guess but both can be true.

  • Pino is Grover's Italian counterpart in the restaurant business, I bet.

  • He sounds more hispanic

  • But the way he speaks is a sure sign that he's Italian.

  • P.S.: Si means yes in both Spanish AND Italian.

  • I love the Joe Raposo esque music the 1:54 - 2:41.

  • So do I.

  • I LOVE THE PART WHERE PINO & GROVER ARE RUNNING IN-&-OUT OF THE KITCHEN WITH THE WACKY MUSIC FROM 1:54-2:45! & Pino is David Golez, which is one of his few Sesame characters, if it is him. Is it?

  • You're right! That is definitely Dave Goelz, and indeed it's one of his few Sesame Street characters.

  • I am glad that neither Grover nor pino works in any of the restaurants where I like to eat. If they did, it would mean bad luck for me.
