the problem with a crime like this, is that too many people were participating in it. they shouldn't have brought so many for the actual murder. It should of been like 3 or 4 max. more people, more snitches...

Just read the book. This scene is mostly accurate, except for the appearance of a few characters....Lisa was overweight, and Bobby was Iranian, so he should have darker skin. For those of you wondering whether or not Bobby deserved to die, go read the book for yourself. Bobby sounds like a textbook sociopath, and there is one scene where he plans to beat up and rape two girls because one threw up in his car. I'm not saying anyone deserves to die, but he is one unsympathetic victim.
Even though I never knew Bobby Kent and if he really do the things he did in the film then I'll say still killing him wasn't the answer. I can understand how his victims felt but marty also killed him because he felt that he wasn't going to have much of a career in his life like Bobby would by going into business with his dad.

This isn't a great film in my opinion, and it was too excessive with the use of teenager sex/drug use and violence to be considered a really 'serious film' in some ways. However, I think this scene is put together brilliantly, I get the feeling this is very very close to reality in terms of how murders happen in real life. The tension, fear, uncertainty,and outright stupidity when someone makes the decision to do something like this. Very realistic scene.
When I first saw this movie, the music in this scene had already given me the feeling of "something brutal, viscous & violent is about to occur. Let's see how this goes". The first stab... I was paralyzed. The acting, the directing.... the realism. I was blown away. This movie was amazing.
you see this is what all bullies deserve and even though they had to face really extremely bad consequences for Kent's murder hey atleast it helped Marty get that fucking monkey off his back see atleast he was able to get back at Bobby i was never able to get back at my best friend who bullied and pummeled me most of my god damn life that's why this is my favorite story to talk about and my favorite movie..

before the muder scene, the movie is just light but as soon as the muder scene comes into play, you get this eerie feeling all the way from that scene to the end of the movie. i thought it was very realistic how the characters reacted to the murder. before they were all excited and pumped up to kill this guy and then as soon as that knife went into his back, it was all horror even for the observers. they couldn't believe it. i would feel that way too.

This is highly dependent on what kind of injury it is, but even if it was hurting, it's not always a natural reaction to scream out. He was probably scared to death about the situation he found himself in. You scream to get assistance, you plead to prevent getting attacked again.

I was with a guy who got his finger shredded off in this like...I forget what it was but this guy turned on the machine to early and it just shredded his finger off and my friend was in shock and didn't feel any pain he was actually more mad at the guy and when the ambulance came along, my friend was laughing that his finger actually got shredded off (sometimes when people hurt themselves they actually laugh instead of show pain)

Also, all of Donnys stabs were pretty ineffectual, but had already sent him into shock at the sight of his own blood and confusion over what was happening. Also, the movie doesn't portray how Bobby Kent actually looked or how built he was. The guy was a short, stocky, heavily muscled Iranian on roids, not a lean white teen that Nick Stahl was here.

What I found so intriguing about this movies was how the teens behaved. Listening to them talk and the way they acted, I know people like that. Making it all the more real. This film actually made me a little sick knowing that this happened in real life, this scene and then reading about what really happened. It's sickening and sad. Yes he was a bully but you don't take another humans life. Brad Renfro, Nick Stahl and...Bijou? were all great in this.

Just read the book. This scene is mostly accurate, except for the appearance of a few characters....Lisa was overweight, and Bobby was Iranian, so he should have darker skin. For those of you wondering whether or not Bobby deserved to die, go read the book for yourself. Bobby sounds like a textbook sociopath, and there is one scene where he plans to beat up and rape two girls because one threw up in his car. I'm not saying anyone deserves to die, but he is one unsympathetic victim.

Even though I never knew Bobby Kent and if he really do the things he did in the film then I'll say still killing him wasn't the answer. I can understand how his victims felt but marty also killed him because he felt that he wasn't going to have much of a career in his life like Bobby would by going into business with his dad.

This isn't a great film in my opinion, and it was too excessive with the use of teenager sex/drug use and violence to be considered a really 'serious film' in some ways. However, I think this scene is put together brilliantly, I get the feeling this is very very close to reality in terms of how murders happen in real life. The tension, fear, uncertainty,and outright stupidity when someone makes the decision to do something like this. Very realistic scene.

When I first saw this movie, the music in this scene had already given me the feeling of "something brutal, viscous & violent is about to occur. Let's see how this goes". The first stab... I was paralyzed. The acting, the directing.... the realism. I was blown away. This movie was amazing.

before the muder scene, the movie is just light but as soon as the muder scene comes into play, you get this eerie feeling all the way from that scene to the end of the movie. i thought it was very realistic how the characters reacted to the murder. before they were all excited and pumped up to kill this guy and then as soon as that knife went into his back, it was all horror even for the observers. they couldn't believe it. i would feel that way too.

@sh3sth3problem When severe trauma is inflicted on you like that your body and mind tend to go into a shock state where you don't really feel the pain until later. This is highly dependent on what kind of injury it is, but even if it was hurting, it's not always a natural reaction to scream out. He was probably scared to death about the situation he found himself in. You scream to get assistance, you plead to prevent getting attacked again.

I was with a guy who got his finger shredded off in this like...I forget what it was but this guy turned on the machine to early and it just shredded his finger off and my friend was in shock and didn't feel any pain he was actually more mad at the guy and when the ambulance came along, my friend was laughing that his finger actually got shredded off (sometimes when people hurt themselves they actually laugh instead of show pain)

@sh3sth3problem The offical account of the murder played out exactly like this scene. The only time Bobby screamed at all was for help from Marty. Also, all of Donnys stabs were pretty ineffectual, but had already sent him into shock at the sight of his own blood and confusion over what was happening. Also, the movie doesn't portray how Bobby Kent actually looked or how built he was. The guy was a short, stocky, heavily muscled Iranian on roids, not a lean white teen that Nick Stahl was here.

What I found so intriguing about this movies was how the teens behaved. Listening to them talk and the way they acted, I know people like that. Making it all the more real. This film actually made me a little sick knowing that this happened in real life, this scene and then reading about what really happened. It's sickening and sad. Yes he was a bully but you don't take another humans life. Brad Renfro, Nick Stahl and...Bijou? were all great in this.
