  • hope you get a chance to finish this build. looks great! My only thoughts are how well this build will take to upgraded parts, and are you going to paint stuff like the Northbridge heatsink and GPU Shrouds? Thinking of buying this case just cause all the great things you can do to it :D

  • the time when you finish this thing al your hardware inside is ready for replacement XD nice case bro :P

  • Where you drilling through the table?

  • how did you get the plexyglass with lsu on it ?

  • i dou my muds in the kiten the wife friks but is my kiten

  • Is it done yet? Or have you gave up on this?

  • I am building a shop at the moment and will finish when the shop gets finished!

  • will the new gtx480 card from nvidia be able to fit in this case without modding it?

  • What a cute doggy.

How long does it take to receive the sleeving from MDPC X ?

Anyone in the US sell their sleeving?

  • @spearmintmonkey It probably took 5 days to order from mdpc-x. I think MM only sells black here in the states

  • Hey there,

cool project and dog. I also have a LianLi PC-05N, it's just perfect as a handy case for gaming hardware. I got a little hint for you, don't use the aircooling in stock orientaion. Use the front as intake and the rear as outtake fan, that lowered the Temps for CPU (4°C), GPU (10°C) and HDD (15°C ! ). I hope this helps ;)

  • 2:08 Dog looks scared lol

  • It looks like you are transfering the cad drawing from paper to metal. A tip for you is to print out the cad drawing onto Avery (5165) full sheet labels. Stick the label to metal and scribe and center punch. Save a lot of time and is very accurate. Good build so far.

  • Wow, that's a fantastic suggestion. Thanks for letting me know!

  • Awesome work man 5/5*

  • Very nice to see such a creative person. But doesnt it take long time to get a single case mod done? :D

  • looks awesome. 5/5*

  • thanks chris! at this point it will be done in 2012 :)

  • wow nice making good progress 5*

  • Dude... that looks awesome. You ended up getting a great mix of colors with those accents on the inside. Did you have any problems powder coating the fasteners or scratching them when installing?

I would only say that you could use a little more garnet and gold in that thing... sorry, didn't mean to jump on that bandwagon, but I can't resist... after all, we finally won one!!! We won! We won! We won!!!

  • First of all that looks great 5* can you tell me the exact paint name and the number of that purple paint job it looks great!

  • thanks for the comment! it's Purple Starlight powder coat, bought from powderbuythepound(.)com

  • You do very good work. Nice job recycling the old steel plate. Sleeving job is amazing. 5*'s

  • I almost forgot that I have been waiting for ur new video

  • Thanks Jason! The powder coat thickness really threw me off and I couldn't fit any of the drive bay covers or fan controller properly... this is the result. Ok, easy on the Jesse James reference... all I did was hack together some steel!

  • when you powder coated the 840, did you have trouble getting devices int he 5.25 bays? mine is stock and its already a hell of a tight fit! sounds like if I powder coat it I will be in for a world of hurt?

  • yeah, the tolerances are a known issue with the 840. before i powder coated it was tough, however after i put the case back together it was still tough. bottom line, powder is very resilient and you shouldn't worry too much if you have to force fit some stuff.

  • lol i thought you were cutting the packaging at first.

  • you mean i can't use packaging for a drive bay cover ? :)

  • Amazing what you can do with old cdrom drives!

  • Tell me about it... they aren't made like that anymore. That was probably 16 gauge steel!

  • Lookin awesome.

  • Thanks Travis... looking forward to seeing what you do on the 840!

  • Looks great!!

  • Thanks Jesse! It's been a fun learning process...

  • Dude that looks AWESOME! Can't wait to see the finished PC! I'm from Ohio, so I don't like LSU for what they did to OSU! LOL! Still, that is going to be 1 sick ass PC when completed! 5*

  • Thanks for the comment! Yeah, I can understand that... could you channel your hatred for UF instead? :)

  • LOL! Yeah, they did OSU in too! All S.E.C. teams are awesome! OSU will get them both 1 day. Until then, good luck LSU!!

  • Looks great man. Keep up the good work. That must've taken friggin forever to sleeve all of that. I guess it's true that patience is a virtue. 5/5

    Roll Tide. :-)

  • Thanks! Yeah the sleeving requires a certain mindset, and it's hard for me to get into it sometimes, which is why it takes me a long time :)

  • Oh, and Geaux Tigers! :)

  • Fantastic!

  • thanks greg! learning as i go...
