  • hi im from peru and i recently bought a hi capa 4.3 used i think you can help me becuse you know a lot about this well my problem is that the slide doesnt finish the blockback action it stucks before it finish the blowback i have to finish it manualy the guy who sell me was using propane with silicone but the day i bought it started using green gas

please help me and nice video i going to use if i fix my problem for customizing it you said that you have your own line of slides id lik 2 see them

  • @loco34ism Unless I see it, I can't help you with your problem. Your description does not provide enough information for me to diagnose it. Take it to a local gun doctor who knows what they're doing.

  • @ILLusionKinetics thanks for anwsering oh i see unfortunately there are no gbb pistols in peru there are only aegs experts about the problem i mean the slide doesnt cycle completly it gets stuck when i shoot and i have yo pull it foward to shoot again some people tell me that is the gas or the mag if not i should have it there and buy another new but in peru is expensive due to laws another question perhaps in a future ill be buying your products do you ship to peru?

    greetings

  • @loco34ism Take a video for me to show the problem. Your description is not sufficient, unfortunately. It does not appropriately describe the problem in enough detail.

I can ship my product to anywhere in the world, as long as the buyer is willing to pay the shipping costs.

  • One more ... question. What metal slide would you recommend that doesn't need any filing? Do you think the "shooters design" is the best slide or do you recommend a better one that is a direct fit?

  • @InfinitePhasesFilms Shooters Design is decent, but it does not have real steel dimensions. It could potentially have some difficulty fitting some holsters, depending on the style you get. The difference is very minimal. I sell my own line of slides that are machined a bit better than Shooters Design. Price difference is minimal. Where are you located?

  • @ILLusionKinetics I live in Torrance, California. Do you have pictures? I'm interested.

  • Also you link to reassembly is incorrect. It links back to this same video. Please update. Thanks. -Rebel

  • @InfinitePhasesFilms Thank you. Noted, and changed. :)

  • Holy Ka Ka! This is such a great video. You should change the title to "Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 COMPLETE Disassembly" I think you would get more views. Thanks for sharing.

  • @InfinitePhasesFilms Thank you. Noted, and changed. :)

  • Best demonstration on YouTube on how to disassemble a tm hicapa. Thanks for the video! Perfect for how to upgrade parts on it also

  • PLEASE HELP!

I am having trouble assembling the sear spring or three finger spring correctly(Part at 10:20). Without the slide, the hammer works just fine. Once i put on the slide and pull it back, the hammer does not go forward. Any suggestions please?

  • @TheHartAtk Unless I can see a photo of how you have it assembled, I can't give you any advice. Just make sure the prongs are pushing all components "forward" (towards the muzzle). Also, watch my Assembly video to see assembly order.

  • @TheHartAtk i hade the same problem, but because i am new at this i was able to figure it out. i have no idea what the parts were called though so ya. here it goes... put the one thing(black) on the top of the other part (black) then place small amount of silicone oil there... wala

  • oh hey illusion from ASC! thnx for the vid

  • How the hell did you remove the loading nozzle from the slide. So hard! I was afraid i'd break the slide or something.

  • @Johnnyyfreeze

Well, first, you have to remove the entire blowback unit before you can even think about removing the nozzle...

  • @ILLusionKinetics At 09:34 will this be the same as the Hi-Capa 4.3 as it only has one Safety switch as opposed to the 5.1 having two?

  • @B3nnyBh0y1888 Exactly the same, except you don't have to worry about the right side safe

  • @B3nnyBh0y1888 lol there is a small pin behind that slide saftey. i didnt knw that and i launched out, hit the wall bounced back and hit me in the head. then fell. i had to get a metal detector 2 find the dam thing

  • thank you for this video! I was trying to clean my hi-capa and this came in very handy. good clear details and done professionally.

  • Great vid, really usefull. Do you have any experience with fitting guarder metal slides and outer barrels to a Hi capa? If so, how much work is involved to get the slide to cycle properly, and the Blowback unit to fit. Also, do the hop up units fit straight into the metal outer barrel?

  • @MrJmak223 @MrJmak223

Guarder slides and barrels are inconsistent due to poor manufacturing tolerances. Chances are, you will run in to fitment issues, but "where", as well as how to resolve it will be different from slide to slide. Even two slides coming out of the same production line one after the other will have differences. All I can say is to look for where hangups occur, and file it to relieve the problem. As for the blowback unit, you'll need to cut a tab off it.

  • Respond to this video... For that reason alone, I do not like nor recommend Guarder slides and barrels. It will render the blowback unit unusable with any other brand of slide.

And yes, the hop up unit does fit straight in to the metal outer barrel.

  • hey Illusion....

I have a problem with my KJW hicapa 5.1 .

For some reason the hammer will fall without pulling the trigger after hitting it against something and the gun will go bezerk in full auto. I have tried other videos and I cannot determine the cause. it will work correctly most of the time, but occasionally the hammer just will not catch. If it's any clue, the beaver tail safety and half-cock safety function do not work anymore.

Do you have any idea as to what this is caused by?

  • @DeadSilent120

Sounds like your leaf spring is not installed correctly. Your sear is not engaged with any tension, causing the problems you're describing. Watch my assembly video carefully, I stopped when I installed the leaf spring to show how placement should be.

  • I hate to beat a dead horse but these videos have been priceless to me in my quest to upgrade my Hi Capa. Thanks so much for doing this you're a real credit to airsoft.

  • Thank you so much for this much needed video done by a professional.

  • Just wondering, should I do this for fun? I just want to know if I should risk damaging my gun.

  • @Radomid

This is always a risk. Proceed at your own risk. I'm not responsible if you screw things up.

  • @ILLusionKinetics Well are there any parts I should be careful of when taking it apart? Any areas that have small parts that would be easy to lose, say like the thumb safety since I know there are tiny springs and pins and such.

  • @Radomid

You should be careful with all parts - there are lots of small springs and pins that only experience will teach you to be careful of. If you're unsure, do everything inside a plastic bag (not kidding) so that if anything goes flying, it'll be caught.

  • @ILLusionKinetics

Do you really need to go through all that just to get the trigger out? I'm wanting to swap it out for a silver one

And is there any other easy parts to swap out for a silver one, for example the hammer?

And finally, how do I get the mag well of?

  • @B3nnyBh0y1888

Well, you don't need to go through ALL that, as the slide assembly has nothing to do with the lower assembly. You also don't need to extract the hammer/sear assembly, but you will still need to remove the grip from the receiver. While it's *possible* to do this and reassemble without removing the safety levers and grip safety, I don't recommend it, as it's hard to properly seat the leaf spring during reassembly if the grip safety isn't removed.

  • @ILLusionKinetics

I have just got a new TM Hi Capa 4.3, which is completley black and looks pretty blank.

What I mean by "easy" is nothing too complicated with loads of tiny parts, I didn't know there was an assembly video but i'll watch it now and see, it was just parts like the slide catch, hammer, grip screws etc I would see as "easy"

I thought there was a mag well, a very thin one, And i'm not too sure what a "flared mag well" is

  • @B3nnyBh0y1888

Ah, okay. If it's the 4.3, then yes, the hammer is black. Anyways, like I said. Watch the videos and you decide for yourself what's "easy" or not. I disassemble the gun down to every single basic component and reassemble it in these videos. Just follow the same order as I do it, and you shouldn't have *too* many problems. But if you don't know how to use a screwdriver, then I'd say to leave the gun alone.

There is no separate magwell with Tokyo Marui Hi-Capas. Can't Remove.

  • @ILLusionKinetics

Its the part at the very very bottom of the pistol grip that I thought was the mag-welI, and I thought the rod you knock out with the mallet at 08:46 was what held it. If I did get a mag-well is this the part I attach it with?

I watched the two videos and the trigger and the hammer seem easy enough, but the problem is none of my allen wrenches fit the screws on the grip.

And one final thing, is there threaded barrels anywhere that I can attach a suppressor to?

  • @B3nnyBh0y1888

If you buy an enlarged magwell, it will come with the proper pin to attach it.

When dealing with guns like this of Japanese origin, you'll need a metric key set. Imperial sets can damage the heads.

I have custom made threaded barrels coming in. They are pricey, but these are high quality CNC machined stainless steel barrels. If you'd like to purchase, contact me by private message on YouTube or Airsoft Canada Forums. My username on ASC is "ILLusion".

  • @ILLusionKinetics

Thank you very much man you have helped me a lot with this new gun, mabye when i've finished my loadout i'll see about getting a barrel from you but i'm not too worried about suppressors right now.

    Thanks again.

  • @B3nnyBh0y1888

The hammer is already silver, at least with the Hi-Capa 5.1... also, I don't know what your definition of "easy" is. Please watch this video and the assembly video for the exact order I would use to disassemble and reassemble, and judge for yourself.

As for the mag well... You're referring to a flared magwell, correct? No Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa pistol currently in production comes with a mag well.

  • @ILLusionKinetics

    Mag-well off ***

  • that takes some real skill!!

  • Thankyou so much!!!! my hammer wasn't cocking fully and thanks to this i was able to disassemble the unit (turns out one of the lugs has broken off the hammer - need a new one)

  • ughhhh ffrom 13:00 onn i disassembled that part now i cant put back together!

  • @urepkingtarg1 You're not able to reassemble in reverse order? It helps if you identify where exactly it is that you're stuck.

  • @ILLusionKinetics i got everything back together but now the hammer doesent stay locked down when i rack the slide

  • @urepkingtarg1

It sounds like you do not have the leaf spring installed correctly. The tips of the prongs are suppose to sit on TOP of all the internal components, so that the pressure is pushing FORWARD towards the muzzle of the pistol. If you installed it by sliding the spring under the grip safety, then chances are, you did not install it properly. Its is most easily installed with the grip safety removed, so that you can LAY the leaf spring on top of the components.

  • @ILLusionKinetics Ok i got the middle leaf spring in place now the hammer stays back but my trigger dont work. wheres the leaf spring farthest to the right go

  • @urepkingtarg1 Again, it lays on TOP of all the components. The right prong rests against the bottom of the trigger disconnect lever (the silver/chrome piece)

  • @ILLusionKinetics Ok everything works now except my thumb saftey. wouls that have to do with the springs?

  • @urepkingtarg1 Could you provide more detail on the thumb safety not working? HOW is it not working? What is it doing or NOT doing? Without knowing this, I couldn't tell you what it has to do with.

  • @ILLusionKinetics basically no mater what if i try to push it up to lock the slide it feels stuck and wont move

  • @urepkingtarg1 So how did you even install the levers if you're not able to push them up? They must be installed in the up position

  • @ILLusionKinetics I know i removed the slide and then just kinda wiggled it in there. it can go up barely enough to stop the slide but it wont stay in that posistion.

  • @urepkingtarg1 You may have screwed the pooch on that one. It will be very difficult to remove the safety levers to properly reset it, and in the process, you will likely damage something. I can not offer you any assistance from this point forward. Generally, if you don't know what you're doing, it's best to find someone local to you who can do it properly.

  • @ILLusionKinetics yeah that safety aint coming out. well thanks for all the help

  • phenomenal job ILLusion, very good quality video and outstanding layout of the parts. I'm looking forward to the reassembly video. Thank you so much for this video.

  • ILLusion, you're the GBB king !

  • which piece is the valve? i am buying my first WE hi capa and i am planning on modding the heck out of it, mods i plan on doing - feather weight blowback housing, hard kick loading nozzle, hard kick recoil spring, high power hammer spring, and cnc high output valve. i can figure out all of the mods useing your video except the valve mod. could you make a video showing where it is/ how to replace it/and or tell me where it is in this vid?

  • @Miklit23

There are a few valves in a gas blowback pistol. It sounds like you're asking about the release valve, located in the magazine. Release valves like install in the magazine. It's highly recommended to upgrade ALL of your magazines with the SAME valve to maintain performance consistency, otherwise your hop up settings will act funny. So if you have 5 mags, you should buy 5 valves.

  • @Miklit23

I'll considering doing a magazine disassembly video some time as well. I'm still editing the assembly video for the complete pistol.

  • ok so i took apart my gun put it all back together the right way peice by peice but ever since then when i load the gun 2 bbs are fed into the hop up unit ive purchased new clips and same result. also i have bought a new spring for the blowback unit and same result. ive researched and tried all solutions and nothing works any advice on what i have done?

  • @cmac33

Take a close look at the loading arm at the bottom of the nozzle as you slowly return the slide to battery. What is it doing as you close the slide? Does it strip off a round properly? Does it chamber the round smoothly? Where does the second round get introduced?

  • Holly crap, that alot more complicated then one might think

  • @nymfallon

It's not too bad once you get the hang of it. Consider, it only took me 15 minutes to completely strip it to its bare components.

Except for the inner barrel / hop up unit and the blowback unit, it's not too far off from the real thing. There are only a couple extra parts with the airsoft version, but all the major components are somewhat similar to a real 2011 or 1911 variant.

  • this is the best video of Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa Disassembly ever

  • Best video ever.

  • Nice video Illusion!
