again yet another brilliantly soul moving song by the sadly under -rated Marillion It appears our hero Steve H is trying to fly onstage again with his 'angel pose" LOl
Throughout Youtube there's this never ending talk about Fish. Fish has done NOTHING memorable since he left Marilion (maybe apart from touring with the old stuff from time to time - and with crap backing). Hogarth and Marilion has done NOTHING that is NOT memorable ever since! And btw - in Rothery Marilion has the - best - guitar player in the world. Period!
@TheStoffar Totally agree. Without any disrespect meant to Fish, it seems many of fans of his are merely former Marillion fans who clamber for the 'glory days' of the band from the 80s. When really the reality is bands evolve and change over the years and it's unlikely that had Fish stayed they'd in any way be the same as they were in the 80s.
I still like Fish's work with Marillion, but when H's Marillion produces stuff like Neverland, it shows how a band can survive long after their heyday.
@TheStoffar I disagree. Fish has released many highly memorable albums. Also, I have seen him live which was very memorable. Except for Rothery, Marillion has nothing left. Hogarth only has a few songs that can be considered as progressive rock. Marillion's face is almost completely gone.
@davegto67 They're going to do a US tour next year. And they do pay attention to there fans everywhere around the world. It isn't that easy for them to go to the US and actually have some money left after the tour. And without profits no band can exist.
@StevenBremel We had to guilt the band into touring here back in 97...I understand the logistics of touring and profits. Last time I checked, no one in the band has a day job. I don't think they have lost any sleep over not playing the US.
one more hymn from marillion; if you like this - hear some more like "Happiness is the road, Quartz, Angelina, Easter, This strange engine or Fantastic place" in the Hogarth era; if you enjoy the fish-era you shouldn't miss Script for a jester's tear, Fugazi, Chelsea Monday and Incubus... (there are too much to be all mentioned)
I cannot even adequately explain what this song does to me. It would take me twenty minutes of metaphors, a thorough history of my life, some tears, some smiles, and a lot of sighs.
FISH COME BACK!!!
This always leaves me speechless & will be played at my funeral (thats cheerfull) where i will also be speechless !
Rothery - your a (Fat) Legend...less doghnuts mate lest we lose you to coronary desease ! (god im feckin morbid today), seriously though I love Marillion to bits since the SCRIPT album, but Neverland is the dogs nuts.

Come play NYC. Come play NYC. Please, please, please, come play NYC. Eric explained to me the huge tax burden on your merch sales. Leave the merch at home, you don't need it. Please, please, please, just come play NYC. You know it'd be worth your while, and worth our while, too.
I love you Marillion

That is probably the most stunning, amazing, hair-up-on-the-back-of-your-nech guitar tones. Mr. Rothery, you are one of a kind.
