  • @HinduismIsHeretical The Summary of Buddhism is to simply overcome suffering for yourself and all sentient beings. That's it. The rest is neither here nor there. Also, Buddhists should never attack Hindus, it is childish and immature as Lord Buddha Himself was a Hindu.

  • @MultiPopculture Although Lord Buddha rose to become greater than all of Hinduism, we must respect His origins.

  • It's so amazing to the power of the mind. Just like some monks can do self burn just for sacrifice for love.

  • While it is ok to respect the Dalai Lama, please do not deify him or take his word as the ultimate word on Buddhism. No one can replace Shakyamuni. Study the Lotus Sutra and other sutras of Buddhism to learn what the Buddha himself taught -- modern day monks are no match for the one and only king of all Gods, the immeasurable and divine, the Blessed One, The Tathagatha, The Unconquerable, the Peerless, the Teacher of Gods and Humans, THE ONE AND ONLY Shakaymuni, the Samasam Buddha Nirmanakaya!

  • @MultiPopculture Screw the Lotus Sutra. Study Madhyamaka.

  • @Trentest0 same here :D

  • I put on the captions for this video, the one that tries to translate the audio into words. And every time he says foundation it read "sausage vision" or "politician" It's quite distracting (and a little funny) but I'm hard of hearing and can't hear the words for myself....

  • Interesting video!

This is an invitation to everyone or anyone to see an artist theory on the physics of light and time!

This theory is based on two postulates

    1. Is that the quantum wave particle function Ψ represents the forward passage of time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π itself

    2. Is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π that is formed by the w- function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event that we can interact with turning the possible into the actual!

  • Alot of respect

  • Religion is personal, what is helpful to one's self may not be the same for others. Such as one's shoes and clothing. Those things are easy to understand, but why, when it comes to spirituality, so many would fight about which is better? Or worse force others to feel/react the same to those matters that are personal by nature. If it's good for you then it's the best for you, and others can find what's best for them too. Peace to you all!

  • @Shan1015 RELIGION IS DEAD, WHAT'S NEEDED IS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! I say this as a formerly religious Jew.

  • @Shan1015 because not all of them can be right when all claim all other religions are wrong and their the only right religion. all religions have almost everything in common exept islam. please reply

  • @Quran871 How is islam different than christianity and judaism...they are all monotheistic, a major similarity than say hinduism, which is polytheistic...so ignorant

  • @theitaliankid05 Hinduism is not polytheistic, or if it could be called that than so can all these other religions. They are all from the same source.

  • @koberask Do you even know what polytheism is? It's the belief in multiple gods. How many allah's do you have? ignorant dumbass...

  • @theitaliankid05 Christians believe in one eternal God Who created the universe, and Muslims apply these attributes to Allah. Both view God as all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-present. Your basically believe in the same god, he's just portrayed in that way. I believe the invisible and non-existent are very much alike.

  • I want to learn Tibetan and meet him in person :).

  • OOMGOSH THEY SAT DOWN AND LISTENED FOR 1HOUR PLUS MY RESPECT

  • Was brought up a Christian, became an Atheist, then became a Buddhist.

    Best decision I ever made.

  • @Trentest0 Same, Im still at the Atheist stage, I am still looking for a religion worth it. Buddhism is amazing from what i've seen so far.

  • @Trentest0 now go to islam. then your life will be extra great

  • @Trentest0 But being a Buddhist is being an Atheist :)

  • @forgottenmemories63 Actually, being a buddhist doesn't necessarily make you an atheist. Buddhists neither deny nor accept that there is an eternal god. Basically, for a buddhist, it's not really important whether there is a god up there since you are supposed to walk your own path to attain nirvana. :-)

  • @Trentest0 Was brought up a Christian, became an Agnostic, now I think i'm about to make the best decision of my life, any tips on how to get started, I don't know much about this religion, all i know is it doesn't encourage separation or fear, unlike most. How did you start your journey to becoming a Buddhist, I am very intrigued.

  • @G0JETSG0

Well Buddhism is less of a religion and more of a spiritual practice. It is a very personal thing rather than a group thing like Christianity. Try this: sit in the brightest room in your house on a bright morning. Sit on a cushion on the floor and push all your thoughts out of your head. Slowly close your eyes, and let yourself drift away: the rest depends on you. Try googling meditation exercises. I became a Buddhist after a trip to Thailand. (I'll send you a message)

  • @Trentest0 could u tell me more about the religion.. im a christian but i dnt believe in jesus and would like to have somthing to help me out when im stuck in a place and dno what to do

  • @T0B1NSHAM

    I sent you a message :)

  • @Trentest0 I find myself in a similar path, I am very interested in knowing your experience in adopting Buddishm

  • @XxLIVRAxX

    Sent you a message :)

  • @Trentest0 My friend, you and I must be soul mates. I've gone through the exact same process over the course of 2011. I was simply feed up with Christian values ( not trying to insult Christians or Christianity, I simply came to realize I didn't like their teachings) and wanted to find another religion that could allow me to worship God without having to hate and reject somebody who wasn't part of my religion. Soon enough I became atheist. However, I soon found Buddhism and the rest is history.

  • @jackram2h2

Well one of the Buddhas teachings was that we should all love and respect each other since we may have been each other's mother or father in a former life. So I say Thank You to you, just in case you were :)

The thing about Buddhism is that it really isn't a religion, it's like a school of spiritualism. Having no God and afterlife to worry about lets you focus on your life on Earth, which is what's really important :)

  • @Trentest0 my friend you comments confuse me,you state the Buddha teaches to love others cause they may have been you parents in your FORMER LIFE(afterlife) then you say that Buddhism has NO afterlife & no gods how can you beileive in past lives while beileiveing in no afterlife???also the Lord Buddha is the teacher of gods so we do have gods in Buddhism they worship the buddha as did the humans in the holy texts(the afterlife is mentioned in all Budhist sutras/suttas do you need them for study?

  • @Trentest0 I was brought up a Christian, became an Atheist, and I'm now studying Buddhism. Do you mind me asking why you became a Buddhist yourself?

  • @mickymorrison

I became one after I went on a trip to Thailand for a month. I went to many of the ancient Buddhist temples there in various cities around Thailand and neighbouring Laos, including going there in the morning and seeing other people sitting in there simply learning and contemplating how their lives could be better. And I felt so peaceful in trying it myself, that I stuck to it when I came back.

    Best experience of my life.

  • @Trentest0 Thank you for your reply. I confess to being a little uneducated on the Buddhist ways - is there a book you can recommend?

  • BUDDHISTS IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD

  • do buddists feel/experience shame?

  • @chefsidney1 Buddhist are no different from any other being in the sense of emotion. Its human nature to feel emotions like shame, the only difference between Buddhists and non-Buddhists is that we can face each of our negative emotions with a compassionate heart and open mind. Let that feeling of negativity leave our thoughts because it is something we can shew away. Buddhism can be practiced by anyone who has an open mind to it. I was an atheist since i was younger, then I found Buddhism:)))

  • @Tamilmothersrapekids nice username, would never guess you were Sinhalese lol.

  • eternal unchanging truths of the Bible is not never fashionable....jesus is the Savior...

  • @SlipknotPaul1237

    Hurr durrrrrr.. duhh... duhhhhhhhhhh.. derp.

  • @SlipknotPaul1237 oh go away

  • @SlipknotPaul1237 jesus love mollesting little boys

  • @SlipknotPaul1237 Keep in mind, Buddhists do not worship any particular 'god'. We follow a set of morals and hope to live our lives in the highest manner of good will towards ourselves and all we encounter. It is more of a spiritual path than a religion. Also, didn't your God say 'Love thy neighbor'?

  • @SlipknotPaul1237 it's a sin to listen to slipknot

  • @SlipknotPaul1237

    Sounds legit.

  • @SlipknotPaul1237 It may be sin in the Christian religion to worship any other god, Buddhists do not worship a god, in fact most Buddhist agree with the teachings of Jesus and some actually believe he may have been a Buddhist himself. You should not scare people into believing in Jesus, rather show the world how happy you are believing in him and trust that people will follow. Having a closed mind to any and all other religions may be one of mans greatest downfalls.

  • @NickSlaughter669 finally some common sense

  • Don't open your mind too much ,,,,,, your brain may fall out

  • @clockwise104 I like it if it is your sense of humour. What I know is mind and brain are two different things.

  • @clockwise104

A mind is like a parachute, it only works when opened...

  • BAR SOMA

  • i think that all of u have failed to relize the purpose of Buddhism its about gaining wisdom of your self and the world around you to gain a greater peace no matter where you are from . to spread hate in the world because of a persons origin or beleifs is no way to live you will only fill your heart with hate which keeps u eh.. blind from true enlightment hate is and and anger only keeps you from knowing the true path that is set for u

  • @Iamalondonhater You must be enlightened.

  • @Iamalondonhater cool thats the buddhist spirit you a.s

  • @Iamalondonhater buddhism started in India...so go and check out somewhere else!!

  • @Iamalondonhater Yeah, you're country is so much about Buddhism that it decides to kill a lot of innocent people.

  • @Iamalondonhater @Iamalondonhater Suck an elephant dick you uneducated piece of shit extremist. Want to be heard? Do something more than post hateful messages in the fucking comment section of youtube videos. I doubt any type of Buddhism would say that it's an okay thing to do.

  • @Weel0w I doubt your hateful reply is okay either... I haven't seen what you are replying to but your reply is very hateful

  • He is as always, a pleasure to listen to.

P.s. turn on 'Transcribe audio' and go to 1:19:28. The transcription says, "unity or fuck yeah"

  • im a fan of dalai lama's teachings as they preach kindness and respect. However i cannot accept facts that go against "science" that drifts away from reality (call it close minded but i believe that i would have to be "brainwashed" for me to believe it), so am i a follower or not that is the question...

  • @Maxpow33r I have been studying buddhism and aerospace engineering and as I have said in other videos, I believe buddhism is the purest form of science, it is science of the mind... It is about ridding your mind of all conceptions and seeing the world as it really is, not your subjective view of it.. To me this is the basis of science, buddhism teaches how to keep the mind unclouded from subjective delusion to find the true nature of the world and the self..

  • Have you ever lied? stolen? lusted after someone? taken God's name in vain? hated someone? If so you have sinned before a Holy God. Your sin demands punishment in a place called Hell. But God is rich in mercy and grace so He sent His Son, Jesus (who is fully God and fully man) to die upon the cross for those sins. We broke the law He paid our fine. If we repent (turn from sin) and trust in Him alone for forgiveness we will be saved and given eternal life free. Only by faith in Christ.

  • @dandan688 God has no children, no book keepers, no demi-gods and associates. He creates what and how he wishes. the Son of Mary was just a man created without a father, the Word of God, "Be" and "It is". Go back to the making of Adam, if you dare, and reconsider your proposition on this statement. I love Jesus more than you do but but he was never god and he will never be god, he was a human being, the son of a noble women who guarded her modesty. Do you know about the Nacean Creed?

  • @dandan688 Why follow something so blindly? Why don't you follow your own mind? If there was no salvation, no heaven or hell, would you still believe in God? This is a testament of your own belief in the teachings of this God. If you can't believe him without salvation, you are only afraid of your prospects after death, therefore your god is ruling by Fear, something which is an illusion. But if the God is telling you truth about the world, he would need no salvation or fear.

  • Thank you, Namaste.

  • Cool stuff. I think Budhism is a peaceful religion but it dosen't address the exact purpose behind the creation of man

  • @lastsaracen Does you need to have a purpose to feel what you feel, or for your mind to think the way you do? Purpose is a construct of your mind, most of life has no purpose, rather everything just fits

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 I respect your philosophy. No doubt. However, to suggest that this complex system, we call existence, has no purpose is something the mind just won't accept. In particular, if you remember, I asked about the purpose behind the creation of 'man' not everything else. It's actually quite scary to say man has no purpose and even misleading. Also to suggest that the heavens and the earth, as we know them, came about by a way of chance or random is a flawed basis.

  • @lastsaracen I think you're too attached to the idea that Humans are some special phenomenon, you are expecting too much from an arrangement of biological molecules. You have no way of confirming heaven, hell, or god without the bible. I'm not trying to be demeaning. It is only scary for you to think that we don't have a purpose because you hold your consciousness on a pedestal, saying that this is something no one else feels, I am unique: not true. Heaven and hell are not confirmed, nor god.

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 "We evolved him out of a sophisticated droplet of water mixed with the dust of the earth, and here he is debating with Us, setting forth for Us parables that he has knowledge thereof, completely unaware of the origin of his own creation"

...yet I tell you, even so, I do understand where you're coming from. And yes, I know you're not demeaning anyone.Studying molecules, atoms and biological arragements should support you in understanding the complexity of life.

  • @lastsaracen If you ever study any philosophy, using heaven and hell is also troublesome because heaven and hell are supposed to be some spiritual realm, but you exist in a material world. Immaterial, and material cannot ever be connected because there is no way for those to things to possibly even touch rather be connected. You have to discard heaven and hell, and live in this life.

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 Now that you brought heaven & hell into the topic, let me say one or two things about them. They are both real. Heaven & Hell are places where good and evil are completely separated. In this world, you come accross both good & evil in the same place. They are not spiritual realms, they are physical realities. In heaven you can eat the every fruits you ate in this world and party on like you do here whereas hell is the complete opposite.

  • @lastsaracen Lemme ask, how does one transmigrate from Earth to Heaven or hell? If they are physical realities, why cannot I touch them. Also where are they and why have scientists not found them? And how are you the only soul I have ever heard argue that they are not spiritual realms? Just wondering, how old are you (not meant to be an insult, just curious)?

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 The only Transmigration is death. If fact you only wake up when you die. Nothing philosophical just plain truth without the need for grandilocuence. There are things man is not suppose touch or grasp with his earthly tools and there are things he can. For example, there are creatures called the Jinns, I'm sure you've heard of them, who occupy the earth you live in, but you just can't see them. Same reality but just in any different dimension, the same goes for your question.

  • @lastsaracen If you aren't supposed to grasp it, how would you know about it? You claim all these things exist, but man can grasp it, how were these ideas brought down to man? Where is the connection, who tells us about these things? Something supernatural cannot communicate with something natural, because it would have to change its shape into something natural to interact with natural world. Also if you cannot interact with it what relevance does it have to your natural world?

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 Remember I said, if you remember, what's the purpose behind the creation of man, and this is in particular. Set aside everything else for a minute. Remember, there was a time, if you reflect on the passage of time, when man was a thing not even heard of or mentioned in the depth of the heavens or the earth. Then, he came about. Call it evolution or natural selection, but he came about, that's the reality. Once you figure that one out, the rest needs no explanation.

  • @lastsaracen This is such a useless argument, I'm sorry, this is downright stupid. The beginning of the World, does not affect your position as a human, and the things you have to deal with. Just because there is no absolute answer for the beginning of the world, doesn't give christians a right to exploit people saying that the answers lie within some god. As a matter of fact, even any God creating the universe has no relevance to explain the natural phenomenon more than any hobo has to wealth.

  • @lastsaracen If you're only following a god fearing that you will go to hell, or rejoicing that you will go to heaven is concerning because your thinking is selfish and shallow. Not only do you ignore every other teaching, you also only think about self.

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 That's not entirely true. I never said I go to hell or heaven or anyone will. Your response is even beyond paraphrasing. You're the one who hell and heaven into the equation. I was only trying to have a dialogue, so any error on my part, I take it back. My impression was not even one of religion, just basic reasoning. I do respect the entire human beings whatever their belief or otherwise. I'm trying to reason, I hope you can understand that.

  • @lastsaracen Another problem is do you understand transmigration? You cannot transmigrate when you die, or ever in your life. The property, your consciousness or your spirit are constantly changing things, no part lasting for more than a couple of seconds, you are never the same. What form of you would transmigrate? This also refutes heaven, because if you were to go to heaven, what form of you would go? Why people can't go to heaven is if you were to transmigrate there is assurance its you

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 Transmigration in the sense once you pass away you get your own body back as oppossed to transmigrating into a new one, or that of an animal or plant. A good example, would be what takes place when you sleep and dream. Speaking of this, it's said that when people bury a person and as they walk away the dead person can actually hear them but just communicate with them. If you make it, you go to heaven in the form you're in now and party on, if not, that's something else.

  • @lastsaracen Again you can't specify one particular physical or mental form, because of impermanence of both. I don't understand by what you mean by the dream thing, but I don't think you're fully aware of what a dream actually entails. Are you arguing for or against spirit/ soul forms? I don't actually understand what account you are giving of the dead because I have never heard a dead person speak. The thing is, in Buddhism these kinds of mysticisms don't exist.

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 The reason why souls cannot exist, or if they do they are independent of your consciousness is because souls cannot affect the material world, because of the lack of that mediator between material and immaterial, so therefore, even if there was a heaven or a hell, your actions on earth would not affect your standing as immaterial has no way to record the material, or even to monitor it, your soul would be a seperate entity, existing in only immaterial realms.

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 Thus Heaven must be immaterial, and you can do anything in this world.

  • @lastsaracen The reason why souls cannot exist, or if they do they are independent of your consciousness is because souls cannot affect the material world, because of the lack of that mediator between material and immaterial, so therefore, even if there was a heaven or a hell, your actions on earth would not affect your standing as immaterial has no way to record the material, or even to monitor it, your soul would be a seperate entity, existing in only immaterial realms.

  • @Mannwichsandwich1 I'm not understanding this concept of transmigration you are speaking of, let me just say this again, Transmigration is impossible. For it to exist, there has to be some spirit property for the person who is undergoing transmigration, which interacts with material property, however that in it self is a contradiction. Its the same as saying ghosts cannot interact with matter because they are immaterial, basically there is no mediation state for that.

  • @lastsaracen Does the exact purpose behind the creation of man matter? We're here are we not? That's all that matters isn't it? I think the only think we should be worried about is understanding how to work together towards a better life.

  • @NickSlaughter669 Those are some good points you've made. There're elements of truth in Buddhism and those must be respected at all time. However, we also say where there's responsibility there must be accountability -eventually. There's a lot of good in religion. Therefore let not what those who fight against Allah say overshadow your natural disposition of serving your Creator. Paradise is real. Hell is real too. Ignorance is not bliss. Less is more. consider the Islamic conduct. Take care.

  • @lastsaracen I disagree with all religions, and agree with them as well. I do not think gay people should be killed, or women treated as a piece of land.

  • @koberask Disagree all you want, it's nothing new. But rather it's better to agree with the truth. the issue of homosexuality is something steeped in debates upon debates, that's not my business. All I know we were made in pairs, for a reason. You were given your eyes for a reason, to take them out and say I don't nee them anymore is an issue with anyone. Women are there for men to find peace with them and raise together the next generation. Neither genders should be mistreated. That's wrong.

  • Dalai lama gay shit head he is a insult to buddhism Sinhalese buddhism is the only truth stop following these shitty mahayana buddhism

  • @Chamath5 Hey Chamath, listen man, you're portraying yourself and other Sri Lankans in a very bad light by writing this type of comment.

  • @Chamath5 We all love each other, some just don't realize this yet.

  • i am a buddhist and from when i was young, i had been raised with videos of dalai lama's teachings. i am still a bit confused thou, from what i researched (which is not alot) it said dalai lama ran away fearing for his life, but what is so great that he did that got him a nobel peace price. i know he did something great, but i don't know what it is.

  • @3rdWorldChildren What he did he is still doing. He is the biggest advocate of peace, love, kindness and compassion today in this world. If all countries would live according to his teachings we would be in heaven. However, some people disregard his truth and try to build their own world which will eventually crumble to the sea. I hope you continue to do research, then you too will learn the truth.

  • @LaFinaYoungGun how dare you speak for me and call me ignorant - buddhism is for degenerates and is responsible for how much murder and genocide? don't you know the dalai lama stance on nukes? what about the gift of a prostitute and how it must be accepted in full, i could go on and on - go sit on ass & turn ya mind off

  • @human453 U mad?

  • I am an athiest and the reason I don't believe in any religion is because of hipocrocy and buddhism takes the cake

  • @sjm8890 understandable, but i feel like whether you believe in god or not, you can learn a lot from religion. a lot of basic everyday problems are dealt with in religion. especially in terms of basic moral values, which i feel like everybody should try to obtain.

  • @Emayzin yes but also a lot of intolerance has come from religion

  • @sjm8890 That's definitely true. There's no denying it's faults, but positivity and negativity will always coincide. I think what matters is that you thrive for that positivity everyday, no matter what you believe in.

  • @Emayzin I would like to thank you, you are one of the very few that respectfully disagreed with me, other people verbally attack me for being an athiest but you show tolerance and respect, and in turn I have respect for you

  • @sjm8890 Much respect to you as well man! People usually attack because they're probably insecure about their own beliefs haha.

  • @sjm8890 fucken oath

  • Respond to this video... fuckken oath

  • Your Holiness, my husband and I are learning this together. It has been a wonderful experience for a couple to share and I can't think of a single thing in my life that I have thirsted for more than the your teachings and the Buddhist practice.

  • to me, buddhism is the most healing religion in the world. i can find peace in the teachings of buddha because it's stress isn't about being good to please a god, or other people, but to please oneself first. to work from the inside out. i truly believe that starting with the wellbeing of yourself is the only way to heal the world. because when you are upset, all you want to do is show others your pain. but when you are truly happy, all you want to do is share it with everyone around you.

  • this is a very deep and passionate man, i truly respect him.

  • you know sirs i got a good one . legacy umm prophecy there is somethin im trying to get out constraint a culmination gets in yer mind cavern and sometimes its bad tonight ive reolized im trying to do something here ;) its ok its ok

  • I can hardly understand him, I guess my heart isn't pure.

  • @SicklickalProduKts Just because you don't understand yet doesn't mean your heart isn't pure. Buddhism takes Intelligence, Patience, and Knowledge. You just have to take your time. Learn. and then open your heart to the Buddhism and you will understand.

  • @BeatToneRhythm

No...no, It was his English. My heart is pure, yay!!!

  • @LaFinaYoungGun

and Buddhists are Hindus at heart.

  • @topbluffa1 and all Hindu's are Muslims at heart. And in the heart of Muslims is Christianity.

    The cycle never ends.

  • @xSoundBooth

    lol.

  • Check out "Yoga Nine Vipassana" on Facebook for articles, research, video clips, and teachings on vipassana, compassion, and other related topics.

  • relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxing

  • Great vid! It’s pretty amazing how this guy can command an audience. The Dalai Lama is one of my all time favorite speakers. After seeing him in “Discover the Gift,” I felt so compelled to get started on my journey.

  • everyone is a buddhist a some point in there lives but you shall only belive that you are if you want to belive it . if you belive in karma that is buddhist . if you belive in reincarnation . if you belive in animals are just like us . theese are all buddhist things no matter what happens everyone is a buddhist at some point no matter how good they are or how bad . and if you think you are like the worst person in the world and you could never be a buddhist , hitler was a buddhist at one point.

  • what is so holy about this man?? He is a sinner like me and you.

  • It was very helpful to learn the religon..

  • Behold, the only wise leader in the world.

  • you know he was a warrior. Is the middle of the battle field, sword like ice on opium.
