this phone is awful. It hangs up, You can only hear if you use the speaker. Oh and the speaker comes on and won't let you change the setting while you are on a call. The touch is not sensitive so you end up banging on it, trying to get it to respond to touch. Yuck! big dissapointment.

@rougedetroit I finally got it! Okay go on the main menu (4 dotted blue icon), then go to settings, press "Sound settings", then press "Call Sounds". It should say something like "Caller ID readout" just press it and press RING ONLY. IT took me 2 hours to find it, sheesh! text yourself to see if it worked and if it doesn't I'll try to explain it clearer :)

For those of you thinking of getting this phone, I just got it. I had the Samsung Messager III, and this I think is an upgrade. The keyboard isn't as good, but that is mostly because I'm used to the samsung layout. The touch screen is a lot better than I expected pretty responsive, but browsing the MetroWeb can be annoying. Call quality could be better, slightly buzzy at times. Phone doesn't support video of any kind. But the speakers for music work pretty well. Ill try to do a real review soon

@alex806938 um i think keep it.cuz its the same but the keyboard on the lg beacon is smaller.the one on the lg banter is a bigger keyboard.and its a lil taller height wise (lg banter is a lil bigger not lg beacon).but its up to u :)
