USually moms have jars of marbles laying around, and children are always fascinated by the marbles because they want to play with them but could never touch
@TheNextlevelPhysique it only matters if it makes sense to you. This seems to simply be a recollection of the way a child feels and thinks. A memory, a reminder of the innocence and imagination we lose as we get older. The way that a child interprets the world and some small piece of it as something gigantic and magical. I think it's meant to evoke similar memories in ourselves. To make us think about the simple things that shaped us and to remember the magic we used to think was in everything.
love him. ahhh hes like the master of...i dont even kno how to describe it, but that whole beautiful adjetive/description, symbolism ahhh. words are god.
He's looking at his life from the view of a child. It's like he's reliving childhood memories and equating them to different senses. I don't understand the line about his mom having marbles in jars though.
@musicguy1987 there was no line about marbles in a jar?

I love his style. He tends to build and build and build, and then soften into this slow, sensitive poetry with that little grin of his. <3 Love him.

genius description of childhood. never seen or heard anything that explains someone's childhood as well as this.
