  • Hello there, would you show us how to make pounded yam with real yams? I live in England for now and I can only find the powder. I have tried to pound real yams, but I never achieved the elastic texture . DO you have to choose a special type of yam ? please keep me posted!

  • wow, umm i have never heard of egusi soup being cooked with curry and I have seen about 7 ways different tribes make it.Anyways am glad you learned how to cook naija foods.

  • ahh..at last, this is the standard way of cooking it, you did awesome expect the spinach was chopped too big rather than thinner. but dearie u did great, i've watched series of videos and they were not getting it,in one, a lady used 7 tomato paste & blended countless times,overcooked the spinach such that the freshly made soup looked old. this is d rite way!

  • Nice job!. it is a little different way of making it. I always fry the pepper first and then add the egusi to it.

  • Egusi soup is my fav Nigerian food! Ive never fried egusi when I cook egusi but def will try next time:) I love to eat it with rice and yes my Nigerian friends do laugh at me when they see me do that lol.
