I am personally not a fan of King's leads, mostly because he tends to be sloppy more often than not. However, the speed of his solos (as well as Hanneman's), as well as the fact that they have no central key, does NOT detract from them.

1. Speed CAN make a good solo, as long as its played with decent accuracy. I shouldn't have to name famous examples of this.

2. Atonality works perfectly with Slayer's music. The solos/leads NEED to be atonal to create the somewhat evil atmosphere in the music.

im kind of sick of hearin everyone say that kerry kings solos are overrated....i wanna see a video of you doing what he does, and than, after that, try and explain what he did when he did it.....sometimes its not always about "note progressions" or zakk or dimebag being better than him, maybe its the fact that no one has ever done what he has done, ever, open your mind and appreciate who he is, he is a person you know, not your personal play toy to charecterize when you feel down about yourself

@joblob2112 yes it does, its a chromatic progression, the tapping part at least, and it went with the rhythm. but most slayer solos dont go with the progression at all so i know what you mean
