I love how all the Tarja fanboys say that Nightwish is too poppy now, which is absolutely not true, and they ignore the fact that Tarja is pretty much pure pop with a slightly nicer voice than average.
Still, I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this song. Her voice is actually a lot nicer and less strained than on Once, and it's quite a nice song. So although tragic in some ways, I think splitting up was good for both Nightwish and Tarja.

Anette is no pop singer. You and a bunch of other people are only saying that because Anette's voice is much softer than Tarja's voice. Tarja's voice is operatic, and Anette's voice is rockish.
I like Anette's voice. She isn't as unique as Tarja was with the band (although starting from Century Child, Tarja's voice wasn't as marvelous as it used to be on Oceanborn and on Wishmaster), but I think her singing matches the new songs better than Tarja's would. And it's also a fact that she sings with more pleasure than Tarja.
Voice isn't the only factor in a band that has a 10-year-old history, but also the positive attitude.
Maybe she is the most wonderful singer in whole Europe but if it's true, then why did she join a band which likes to change their vocalist from an angelic diva to a 'Swedish Madonna'?
I didn't write new Nightwish but SONGS. The band itself hasn't changed and neither Tuomas who wrote all masterpieces. He is the head and he knows what he does.
And it wasn't Tarja who left the band. She was kicked out 'cause of her doings. (Like the concert which had to be cancelled 'cause she changed mind.)
I only mentioned 1 thing. And I've checked few sources after my comment. Yes, the concert happened: delayed. Funny, isn't it? :)
I have personal experiences: the Hungarian NW homepage asked meet'n'greet with the band before a concert and Tarja was the only one who didn't show up. It was the same after the concert: all the 4 male members came out to meet the fans except her.
She wasn't a true NW member then, just a guest singer.
They haven't become famous because of the singer but their music. NW started with a _female_ singer in 1997 and that was more unique than the fact that Tarja was also an opera singer. It was just a plus, any female singer would've made them famous.
I don't deny Tarja has a talent to sing. That's also a fact. But without Mr Holopainen's music she doesn't sound that great.
So, you´ll be happier watching to the videos of NW concert in Tavastia since who the singer is doesn´t really matter to you, right? ;) Go there and be happy!

Tarja didn't start Nightwish. Tuomas was the one who created Nightwish. He and Jukka or Emppu invited Tarja to join, and she agreed.

And from what i heard tarja was the responible for the braekup her husbend told her that she was to much for the band and that she deserbed more and she start actong arrogant and all the NW members culd not take that bullshit any more so they fired her

and nightwish wouldn't be this famous with her i think. it was the combination of an amazing composer and a magnificent operatic voice that made nightwish such a huge band.

How can we know who's the bad guy here? I don't like it that she left the band, just because her voice and Nightwish can't break. Anette is a good singer but she is not a Nightwish member for me. Besides, now she is with Nightwish the whole musicstile seems to have changed. I also like the new Nightwish, but it's so differend from the old that they could better re-name themselves..Byebye..

I like this song and video. I believe and hope that Tarja will succeed on her own. I will for sure buy her cd and the new Nightwish cd too.

I love how all the Tarja fanboys say that Nightwish is too poppy now, which is absolutely not true, and they ignore the fact that Tarja is pretty much pure pop with a slightly nicer voice than average.
Still, I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this song. Her voice is actually a lot nicer and less strained than on Once, and it's quite a nice song. So although tragic in some ways, I think splitting up was good for both Nightwish and Tarja.
Anette totally effing rocks though.

Anette is no pop singer. You and a bunch of other people are only saying that because Anette's voice is much softer than Tarja's voice. Tarja's voice is operatic, and Anette's voice is rockish.

I like Anette's voice. She isn't as unique as Tarja was with the band (although starting from Century Child, Tarja's voice wasn't as marvelous as it used to be on Oceanborn and on Wishmaster), but I think her singing matches the new songs better than Tarja's would. And it's also a fact that she sings with more pleasure than Tarja.
Voice isn't the only factor in a band that has a 10-year-old history, but also the positive attitude.

Maybe she is the most wonderful singer in whole Europe but if it's true, then why did she join a band which likes to change their vocalist from an angelic diva to a 'Swedish Madonna'?
I didn't write new Nightwish but SONGS. The band itself hasn't changed and neither Tuomas who wrote all masterpieces. He is the head and he knows what he does.
And it wasn't Tarja who left the band. She was kicked out 'cause of her doings. (Like the concert which had to be cancelled 'cause she changed mind.)

I only mentioned 1 thing. And I've checked few sources after my comment. Yes, the concert happened: delayed. Funny, isn't it? :)
I have personal experiences: the Hungarian NW homepage asked meet'n'greet with the band before a concert and Tarja was the only one who didn't show up. It was the same after the concert: all the 4 male members came out to meet the fans except her.
She wasn't a true NW member then, just a guest singer.

They haven't become famous because of the singer but their music. NW started with a _female_ singer in 1997 and that was more unique than the fact that Tarja was also an opera singer. It was just a plus, any female singer would've made them famous.
I don't deny Tarja has a talent to sing. That's also a fact. But without Mr Holopainen's music she doesn't sound that great.

i listen to this song a few times now...and Tarja´s voice is still amazing but i think the melody of the song is nothing special, so very boering.
I also agree that she is looking a bit like Sharon den adel...ôO the make up...
she can do it better...i prefer the songs at tajas nightwish era...

I've listened to it a few times. The song is pretty but has nothing in particular. (The electric guitar is quite disturbing in the background.)
Tarja looks like Sharon den Adel but she hasn't got soft enough face for this make-up, so Sharon-Tarja: 1-0

I don't like this song. Tarja might sing well, but there's nothing special about this song. It's lame and the lyrics are only trying to revenge Tuomas. I won't remember this song tomorrow, it's not good enough. I wish we could return to the old Nightwish-times.
