  • Wow you have some amazin teeth . LMFAO . Ayyee' Does it hurt?

  • Does this hurt ?

  • this videoo, is hilarrious--its got da theme music n stuff lol--nice dentistry worrk <3

  • im 13 and i always wanted braced but now that im going to high school im afraid of getting braces espically when i have an under bit .and how im going to look like with them on! so i saw these videos on youtube about invisaline and i think i want to get them but the problem is will it work just like braces?

  • I am concerned about the pain of the aligners. Are they sharp on the gums? I had braces in my teens , I am now 39 and my teeth have shifted. Will they work for me at my age and how loose will my teeth feel when I take them out to eat or drink. I feel weird about that . Any input would be appreciated.

  • I was hoping to get Invisalign Teen soon, I'm 15 about to turn 16, and my teeth aren't that bad. I have a little crowding on the bottom, and an okay overbite. Also since invisalign isn't specially made for overbites, is there a way I could keep my overbite?

  • How can I know if I'm a candidate for invisalign? I'm 16. Will my age automatically disqualify me, also how crooked do the teeth have to be for me not to be eligable for invisalign?

  • Go to your orthodontist for a consultation. I believe the consultations are free. If you don't know if your orthodontist does Invisalign, go to the Invisalign website and you can look up what orthodontists in your area do do Invisalign.

I'm pretty sure your age will not disqualify you considering I'm only a year older and I'm getting Invisalign soon. I'm pretty sure, as long as you've lost all your baby teeth, you're fine for Invisalign.

  • im 15 ive had them since i was 14. dont get invisilign man im on my last set and my teeth are hardly straight where they should be and people are always like, whats on your teeth and stuff because they dont know what invisilign is its so much easier to get braces they work better and people know whats on your teeth so you dont have to answer awkward questions

  • I'm wondering if i'm eligible to get invidsalign...i have a severe overbite according to the doc

  • Send me your pictures, and i might be able to advise. Thanks

  • I'm thinking of getting invisalign. What i am wondering about is the attachments. Do they hurt in anyway? Do they go on top of the teeth or in between? Do they hurt getting the attachments off? Does the tray press on your gums or hurt them?

  • Dear Skaterbovia,

Don't worry at all about attachments. They don't hurt, and this video shows exactly on which part of tooth they are placed. In many patients attachments are not even placed. The placement and position of attachement is very flexible, and will depend upon the communication between you and your Invisalign dentist.

The attachments don't hurt when removed. The tray(aligner) is shy of the gums, so no issue there.

  • I have had them for a few days, they did feel strange to start with but the next day they felt fine. The attachments are glued to the teeth, the number of attachments required depends on the required movement of the teeth. I did have the same concern and did not want any visable on the front 4 teeth and my dentist arranged for them to be positioned out of site of a usual smile, I belive this may add a small amount of time to the treatment. If you can have them, and you can afford them, go for it

  • Hi Dr,

how is it that the attachments are flexibly placed if the trays are made by the lab based on the impressions taken? the trays are already made with the gaps alotted for the attachments based on computer imaging that predicts the whole treatment plan, right?

  • @pannudds What are the attachments for? I had normal braces.. im just wondering about these though

  • do they hurt?

  • Hi,

Can I get invisalign, if I have a bridge on the upper jaw, in the molars? I have gaps in the front of both upper and lower teeth and want to correct them with invisialign.

  • Yes, Invisalign can be very well done in the case of posterior bridges.. Even if there are bridges in the front teeth, Invisalign comes with a pontic system, very convenient to use.

  • Hi, Does anyone have to wear rubber bands on their aligners to help pull the jaw forward?? i do and im having trouble making them stay attached to the aligners

  • Hi ..Yes, it's not easy to wear those. And, are not generally used in Invisalign treatment. But if recommended, those have to be worn for proper jaw relations. They can do wonders and are excellent way to avoid jaw surgery for proper jaw relations.

Ask your dentist to make them stay easily on your aligners, he/she will be able to do that modification for you.

  • Hi..can you get Invisalign if you have a few missing teeth?I want to get Invisalign, but I recently had 7 teeth extracted. Please advise. Thanks.

  • Hi,,Yes- you can as long as enough anchors are present. Please email me your mssing teeth area picture or xray and i shall be able to guide you.

  • Do the attachments then come off afterwards? Or are they permanently attached to your teeth even after the treatment?

  • The attachments come off at the end of the treatment. Very similar to how metal brackets come off at the end of braces treatment.

  • What do the attachments do? Pull the teeth?

  • Hi Hammettalica,

Attachments help the aligners to stay snugly fit on the teeth. Attachments are of different shapes and sizes chosen according to the movement required.

Attachments are placed with the help of pre made temple customized for each patient.

Attachments are a must for certain movements.
