I remember this when I was a child. I liked them. Seeing it now, compared with cartoons of today, does make it appear very low budget. Enjoying it required imagination - imagination is the key in filling the gaps.
I saw half of the new movie on a plane a few days ago. Both versions are pretty stupid, but at least this one is stupid without pretensions and without a budget of $140,000,000.
