  • I got in allot of trouble in my 80 Spirit GT nice looking car..

  • Looks like it's got some balls!!!! Nice car!

  • I think you have the best looking version of this car ever, as far as color, trim, louvers. Love it! I want one!

  • I guess it was more like a peel-out.

Still, pretty quick for a 80 vintage car loaded with smog controls. Think about it. What was that quick back then for the same money?

  • I wish more amc cars were kept alive.

  • my buddy put a 455 buick in spirit just like that.ran 11..70s on pump gas lol

  • thouse must be quick little cars

  • i love amc they made everyting big hevy and the same :) i but a V8 cross member out of a 72 Hornet in my 82 Spirit bult in no probloms even got a 390 4 speed to drob in no problom cluck pedal came out the 72 and fit same spot 10 years apart and all pats fit :) i for got the 354 posi fit too :) i did need to cut a drive shaft

  • Still waiting for the "burn out" that you mentioned in the title . . . . .

  • So what we have here is a 1980 amx in the wild, and now what we are gonna do is, a burnout. Next time on the discovery channels mullet hunt we look at camaros with different colored doors.

  • triumph tr6 vs that

  • Why is burnout in the description ? i didnt see one . Confused ........

  • es un gran auto! me gusta mucho, he visto este video unas 30 veces XD

  • You need a gremlin with a 350 man!

  • Only a Redneck would think this is a Burnout. This is what you call a Peelout.

  • you silly faggot

  • oh ya the cross fram came out of a 77 amx :)

  • i had a 1980 spirit 390 t-10 4 speed 343 rearend tuff car lot steel in right places

  • It's either a Spirit dressed up to resemble an AMX (my guess) or an AMX that has been "restored" with parts from a Spirit, only the VIN will tell for sure. Either way, it's a pretty good looking AMC!

  • Although a nice looking and well maintained car, I own both 1980 and 1979 AMX's and this appears to be perhaps a Spirit GT that has been dressed up to resemble an AMX, one would have to look at the VIN to confirm. The Spirit logo on the fender, the woodgrained dash ('79's had a silver overlay on the dash and the '80's had no overlay), the door panels are not from a '79 or '80, the grille is not from an AMX, the decals are not correct, etc... suggest it's a poser. Still, a nice looking car!

  • You need to drop a 360 in this bitch... forget that funky old inline 6.

  • @Sarcasticscum I hope to put a 390 or 401 in it one day.

    Thanks.

  • @Sarcasticscum What do you mean? This seemed to have more than enough power as it was.

  • i thought on 1980 amxs the dash was black, not woodgrain. also looks like your car has just a spirit grill not amx. but anyways nice car, i have 3 79 amxs, 2 fully restored.. one on its way to being done

  • Its a spirit GT I cloned it to an AMX . If you look close you can see I left the spirit GT bages on the finders. did you look at my 79 AMX video its for real.

  • not a burnout.. squealed the tires better in reverse though lol

  • ok he cant do a burnout

  • I found both of them in picayune Ms. about 8 years apart .

  • were did u find 2 of them?

  • Its time to v8 that AMC

  • Ha hahahahahahahaha!!! Nice, but they will rock the house if you do a J stand. ;)
