  • I love metal, but this is the real hip hop that EVERYONE can listen to, cuz the awesomeness is overloaded.

  • 5 people have no soul...

  • I Wore this cd Out ! ! :)

  • so this is what REAL RAP IS!

  • Amazing production techs

  • Check out the 'Southern Comfort' re-mix of this by CJ Mackintosh from the UK,

it blows this version away and is a classic case of a re-mix far outshining the original version both in quality, depth and insight.

It was years ahead of it's time and still sounds as fresh today as it did 20 years ago.

  • Classic!

  • Hail delicious vinyl? wtf..... shhhh...

  • oh, so this is where they stashed the real rap. looooooooooool. seriously....this is when rap was about who was the most creative, not who had the most money.

  • Underated dude.

  • people, please tell me what song is better then this!!! i bet i will have no answer because there is no answer. this is the best song ever

  • @TheCarmeloFan15Nug Answer: "Know How" also by, Young MC.

  • @LazarusEinstein hahhaha ok mayyyyyyyybbbbbeeee they're tied for me

  • @TheCarmeloFan15Nug Yeah, "Know How" is at least a close second. But this joint does have some of the tightest lyrical play. ♪♫ I'm comin off, just like the clothes on a hooker, and I can fly like Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka like the shuttle goes up into outter space peoples' hands go up when I enter the place...♫♪ Classic yo. Peace.

  • Young MC is one of my favorite emcees And im only 14. not trying to get thumbs up but letting people know theres still some in this generation with good taste in music. and doesnt listen to the riff raff and terrible hip hop of today.

  • how many things can reference in pop culture in this song. Oh by the way i love this song and have the vinyl. Your 8 track tape and i'm a compact disc. Now it would be your a compact disc and i'm an MP3. reference 1:24 in vid

  • Nat Augustin "Ego" had the beat for the original.

  • 1:42 haha brilliant!

  • HELL YEA OLD SCHOOL IS THE BEST

  • Who did the original beat to this song,It was a disco song called "Ego",It was from the 80's,can't think of it at the moment, the group slipped my tongue.Would anyone know?

  • @howardtheman I know the group "The Boogie Boys" used it for a song called "Colorblind World"

  • age you know it

  • pro stuff, none of this wanna be a gangster foul mouthed bullshit of rappers today just good rhymes ;)

  • I'm comin' off, just like the clothes on a hooker!

  • Man, the day I discovered Young MC's extended collection (beyond Bust A Move) was a beautiful day.

  • 'Yo other rappers want 2 play a game wit me they run and hide when they hear tha name YOUNG MC'!!!! YEEAAAHHH BOOOYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rhyming 101 at it's best. Take note everyone....

  • I used to think Young MC was corny when he 1st came out but as I got older I realized he was/is very lyrically dope!!

  • I really don't consider Young MC to be a one hit wonder.

  • Naw, but mainstream does consider him a one hit wonder. His 1989 album " Stone Cold Rhymin" in my opinion was a great album. I almost never played " Bust A Move" when I listened to it.

  • This is classic hip hop right here.

  • loved this in the day-yeeeeh nooo yoiikkk

  • This is hip hop, Young MC in his prime would smoke all these rappers of today!!!

  • I'd betcha he could smoke any of them anyways....

  • Young MC u rock........

  • i come off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • de la bombe de balle ce young mc mechant le son

  • Ain't nothing like old school jams to make you smile.

  • thanks for droppin this Ol Skool tune.

  • if anybody can tell me how did he became on the WEST COAST RAP ALL STAR: WE'RE ALL IN THE SAME GANG and he's a new york rapper, i dont get it can someone help me to figure that out, cuz all these years, i thought he was a west coast rapper and then someone made a comment saying he's an east coast rapper or he's from england, someone tell me something because i swear he's from the west coast with WE'RE ALL IN THE SAME GANG someone message me back please

  • does it really matter, he sounds good thats all i care about

  • It's really simple: he was insanely popular at the time and having his name on it would move units.

  • i think dude was born in London the hit the east coast and moved to the west to attend USC... maybe cause his label was west coast!

  • hes from england watever side that is

  • great

  • Loveee ittttttttttttttttttttttt with this music i dancing like some crazy dude and i'm good dancer :D

  • im so glad they censored when he says 'goddamn' at the end of this video cuz thats such a bad word

  • what!? You just wrote it!

  • lol true dat

  • Now you can't talk because I'm leaving you speechless,

so be quiet and let an educater teach this........ old skool classic.

  • Actually this is 'new school'

  • New 'old school'!?

  • this is a great song....its a shame tho, rap music used to have taste, style, and value like this. Now its just practically dog shit

  • I freaking love this guy, he's he best.

  • "cos i come off, just like the clothes on a hooker"

....young mc, total class! i remember this from school, like 20yrs ago now surely?

  • Grew up w/ Young MC songs memorized... Luv'd this whole album! Never saw this video, luv it!

  • i like how he rolls his r's not many rappers do that.

  • yeah, i thought that was pretty interesting too.

  • I remember this classic. I thought it was his best song next to "Bust A Move."

  • 'Principal's Office' is lyrical science and the video is fun.

  • damn this track is hot, had the album for years but only seen video now for the first time and its scary cos its jus how i imagined it being when i was listening to the track lol, should of got himself a little wizard outfit and wand for the 'ole ole oxenfree' line though :P

  • "rapper hide when they hear the name young mc ... so when i start i yell ollie ollie oxen free"

  • I agree this is a good tune..but I would have to go with Know How as his best song...:)

  • In my opinion, this is his best song:)

  • That's what im talking about, that was a hot joint back in the day and still is hot.

  • loved this cd (tape back then)

  • thanx for posting this wow havent heard this in years had this album

  • Thank you very much,much,much...:-) these are the first music i eard in my youth. great, great Mc young, and i come off, what was at the MTV.

  • The Best ! clasic, one of the few masters. Young MC es de lo mejor que hay en Rap, - Veracruz México - crecí con esta música fabulosa, pienso que es en realidad un clásico Gracias por subir este video !

  • Love it still. Thanks for posting this, I never saw the video.

  • I would love to get a copy of the slower version....can anyone help ??

  • in the not too distant future we'll be selling out of print 12" on our site - for the moment it does turn up on eBay...UK and US versions are i think pretty much the same. thx!

  • @tottingham yep try 'Young MC - I Come Off (Southern Comfort Mix) 1990'

  • The 12" single has a slower version which is far superior to this, and this is still brilliant. It has stood the test of time really well.

  • that's the 'southern comfort mix' by dave dorrel % cj mackintosh, it really clicked in the u.k. not so much stateside.

  • Those were the days when you listen a song and never forget the 'words' after many years.thanks for poasting.

  • I used to have this on 12". Wore it out.

  • great still. never heard any of these b.g. vocals on my original cassette version.

  • mmm, thought I heard this mix before, but either way... beautiful women, beautiful men, nicely shot, clever, sexy and NEVER VULGAR! Yeaaaaaaah baby! Go old school!! xo

  • hard to believe hes tone loc's brother

  • really?

  • No he's not, Young MC was actually born in England.

  • Raised in Queens y'all, NYC through & through.

  • Young MC isn't Tone's brother, would be interesting if it were true...not the case though : )

  • you sure? i always heard that "Mr Cheba" was tone loc's brother. ah well.. so much for urban myth and legend

  • yes sir, that would be entirely myth. Tone and Marvin young are Venus & Mars, apples and oranges different...& unrelated : )

  • Young MC's name is Marvin Young, and he was born in London, England. Tone Loc's name is Anthony Terrell Smith, and he was born in south Compton, California. They are not related!

  • People crack me up, if a rapper is not a thug type(even in 1990), he is not legit, that is the problem with society. He was well educated, and could rhyme, but people I knew used to hate on him so much. I hope he is doing well.

  • I got this cassette tape with my first Sont walkman for my ninth birthday in 1989. It is still awesome to sing to and like my old walkman it's still kicking.

  • i mean i love this guy he's a great rapper but hes a bit stiff in this vid

  • Is everyone kidding, he came and went like the plague.

A pioneer maybe not the greatest, my grandma could knock him out!

  • There's always one!

  • A bit ahead of his time...suffered from lack of badboy image.

  • Man, he's one of the greatest spittas in hip hop history. He is truly one of the greats!

  • No matter what people say about him, this cat can FLOW!!!!
