These guys are always amazing. The fifers are great and the drum line is super tight. My first time watching them in Millbrook, NY and have been hooked ever since. Wish they were closer...would love to be apart of this snare line.
2009 was my son's first time seeing the tattoo.. after the canada day mattinee he got the chance to talk to a few of the middlesex fife and drum players.. and he mentioned that they looked like they were right out of the movie the patriot. to my son's total delight. the gentlemen we were s[peaking with was actually an extra in that movie. and he let me mson try on his tri corner hat and had his picture taken with him:) Thanks for making my son's first Tattoo a memorable one:).
i love how Mark Reiley can change from Old Guard style to MCV style so simply. With just a tilt of a drum its amazing what wonders can occur!!! haha. awesome job. hopefully ill be playing with MCV next year.
This was one of the better performances I've seen, probably the biggest "MVC" has ever been. (good job recruiting). I am normally not a fan of this group as well, something about the tempo 90-96 that makes me want to take a nap. kind of like midwest fife and drum [Dont take that as a diss, I know how New Englanders get ;-)] reguardless- well done.
haha 90-96?? my group, the fort mchenry guard goes for an ultra-authentic war of 1812 portrayal, and we play just how the manuals of the period say: 85-90 lol
Congratulations to the musicians

MCV has much faster music now, like the song after the fife solo "itchy fingers". and the music is just incredible
