You're looking in the right spot but on a way too small scale. Atlantis WAS a continent. The Azores form the northern rim of Atlantis. It's almost exactly the size Plato said it was. while i don't think that it's atlantis, there is something that we need to keep in mind: there are no straight lines in nature. meaning that even though they have a few curves, for the large area, they are fairly straight, so it could be something but we won't know till submarine can go deeper and sonars can be more acurate.
If you look at some other oceans or seas you can see similar lines. I think its just some error that google earth makes while piecing them together. And, some lines from this 'atlantis' connects to distant parts of the ocean too.

Well, google has put out a statement that the lines were caused by the individual boat(s) doing the sonar pings to map the floor. So unfortunately, it is indeed a glitch.
They don't only appear in this location, I've found, with very little effort, similar "formations" west of Ireland and Norway, off the SW coast of California and near Alaska. And the "roads" in this image would be about 10 miles apart.
And why does the fact that the square and rectangles are different sized indicate that its not sonar?. And no, Plato described a city of concentric circles so this does not match what was described by Plato.
You have a point. These "grids" do appear in other places. But, I did some research and found that it has scientists and oceanographers baffled. Plus, even Google said that they couldn't explain the blank spots on the grid. Try going on wikipedia and look up Atlantis. I know people say wikipedia is an unreliable source, but look it up.
This area is 100x80. Yeah, somebody says LA County is nearly that big, but so what?
Also, there are MULTIPLE features like this across the world if you bother to go look for them. I've found them west of Ireland, west of Norway, off the SW coast of California and near Alaska. these squares and rectangles are different sizes which proves for a fact its not caused by the sonar, and it also proves there is something down there and with out a doubt it is a city, the city described by plato matches this layout, atlantis has been found and no one has the right to lie to the people around the world no matter how rich or powerfull they are, our history is ours so lets hope they send divers down and reveal the truth to the world.

They done things back in the past that modern day people could not do. Newgrange is a great example. Imagine the tools they had to build it too and how did they get it positioned exactly right so that sunlight shines into it once a year on the winter solstice?

atlantis is just a flooded island what i think. no supernatural feel to it like mermaids and stuff. just rotting old plants and maby old building that are falling to peices. the only thing that would live there are fish and octopuses and all that stuff.

The mith says that Atlantis was beyond the Hecules Pilars and Hercules was a more recent Roman mithologycal figure.
Atlantis was actually the island of Thera, home of the Minoic civilization. They had the bad idea to build their capital on an island that was the top of a volcanic peak.
Plato said that the overall design of the city was concentric land circles and ports. So One: This is not Atlantis and Plato is right or Two: This is Atlantis and Plato is wrong.

I often wonder if this crap on google earth is just a marketing campaign for google.. It' gets everyone round the world going .. google google google.. in every conversation.. there's some stuff in google photos near me here in Brisbane Australia that look like ancient ruins that I'll check out for real at some stage when I can be bothered.. I'd put money on it that it's all a big bunch of bullshit and if so they should be made to stop because it's making people stupid.

while i don't think that it's atlantis, there is something that we need to keep in mind: there are no straight lines in nature. meaning that even though they have a few curves, for the large area, they are fairly straight, so it could be something but we won't know till submarine can go deeper and sonars can be more acurate.

If you look at some other oceans or seas you can see similar lines. I think its just some error that google earth makes while piecing them together. And, some lines from this 'atlantis' connects to distant parts of the ocean too.

Well, google has put out a statement that the lines were caused by the individual boat(s) doing the sonar pings to map the floor. So unfortunately, it is indeed a glitch.

They don't only appear in this location, I've found, with very little effort, similar "formations" west of Ireland and Norway, off the SW coast of California and near Alaska. And the "roads" in this image would be about 10 miles apart.
And why does the fact that the square and rectangles are different sized indicate that its not sonar?. And no, Plato described a city of concentric circles so this does not match what was described by Plato.

You have a point. These "grids" do appear in other places. But, I did some research and found that it has scientists and oceanographers baffled. Plus, even Google said that they couldn't explain the blank spots on the grid. Try going on wikipedia and look up Atlantis. I know people say wikipedia is an unreliable source, but look it up.

This area is 100x80. Yeah, somebody says LA County is nearly that big, but so what?
Also, there are MULTIPLE features like this across the world if you bother to go look for them. I've found them west of Ireland, west of Norway, off the SW coast of California and near Alaska. so why do the formations only appear in this location and no other place, im sure the ships had to use sonar scans all over the sea to map it so why arnt these lines visible everywhere then?
also the lines seem to be roads/rivers/walls of a city eventho they are clearly straight they are to irregular to be caused by the mapping of the sea floor by sonar because obvously the slices of data taken by the sonar have to be the same size in order to fit together correctly .

these squares and rectangles are different sizes which proves for a fact its not caused by the sonar, and it also proves there is something down there and with out a doubt it is a city, the city described by plato matches this layout, atlantis has been found and no one has the right to lie to the people around the world no matter how rich or powerfull they are, our history is ours so lets hope they send divers down and reveal the truth to the world.
