  • thanks QWWWWQ

  • @mrE1918 Don't you mean Perfect 5th. There is no such thing as a Major 5th.

  • Another good one for Major 5th is the star wars theme. The first two notes.

  • You got the notes wrong for the entertainer... It's semitones not tones for the first 2 gaps, but your minor 6th seems to be right. Also, another good one for major 6ths is "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean"... just for those who maybe don't live in America.

  • I didn't understand anything until twinkle twinkle little star :)

  • I use the piano part of Clubbed to death for 4ths and star wars theme for the 5ths.

  • anybody got a vid like this with a regular piano playing?

  • when i went to my guitar wars thing a few months back some1 actchley played some where over the rainbow it was funny lol

  • scary!

  • awesome

  • Brilliant - been looking for something just like this for singing. Next challenge: songs with the interval being down .... any suggestions?

  • @redkatiebee

For that I try to just flip it in my head. When you hear the interval down just think of it going the other way and the songs apply then, that is how I have done it it seemed to have helped. Hope that helps sorry the comment is so late.

  • Can you take the sustain off the sound?

  • Major 6th

My Bonnie lies over the ocean and hush little baby (lullaby)

Hope this helps im from Australia so I don't know the NBC one either :)

  • I was with you up to minor sixth - which doesn't really sound minor (because in this context the bottom note is not the root of the key, so it *sounds* rather 'major' (inversion of minor 6th = major third).

Also, being British I don't know NBC! :)

Don't happen to know the Willy Wonka song either, but of course it's much more difficult to find examples for the odder intervals because they're harder to use compositionally.

  • This helped me so much, thanks a lot for it.

  • GREAT WORK DUDE GOD BLESS

  • bbbe was de a a a a a a lcholol

  • this is a great video but why the hell would you use so much reverb .... if we are trying to listen to the interval itself the last thing we would need is a bunch of reverb throwing us off

  • thanks this was extremely helpful.

  • good examples. But did you have to use that sound of piano?...

  • yes sry its annoying a bit its the one available to use with the sound program i was using.

  • Thanks this will help me a lot to identify the intervals

  • Somewhere is the same song I used for a minor 7th. I used Maria for a flat fifth.

  • thank you for this!

  • no problem glad it helped!
