I agree wholeheartedly. I think Marian is truly phenomenal. And it's such a pity when after a beautiful routine, a small step or hop can cost you the gold medal. I've seen many great gymnasts at the Olympic Games, but Dragulescu will forever be the epitome of beautiful gymnastics for me. God bless him! The scoring in Beijing has been quite biased anyway (except swimming - true champion there), so I think the majority of the gymnasts were unfairly treated by the judges. But such is life.

if you are ever the first to proform something at a world or olympic event then FIG (Federation of international gymnastics) name it after you, no matter what it is

It's different for the men, they can have the same direction onto the horse (RO-half on vault + Front handspring or Yamashita vault; or Yurchenko + Tsukahara) for two different vaults, whereas the women they have to have two different entry positions coming onto the vault: Tsuk + FHS/Yami/Omelianchik or Yurchenko + FHS/Yami and NOT Tsuk + Yurchenko or FHS + Omelianchik entry

all round off onto the board entrys are group 5 vaults in Mens gymnastics, no matter what happens after the roundoff.

it is however different in womens.
