i like my dubstep and dnb but for the more reserved, secretive side i love bryan ferry, roxy music, david bowie, depech mode, heaven 17 i can go on all day! im a guy from 87
I was living in Santa Barbara when this came out...riding my Vespa down State St. on Friday nights, watching the freaks at Zelo...dancing at Alex's Cantina...me and Heidi Westerhoff checking out the Porcshes at Gregg Motors...playing tennis all weekend
Hay Hamstar8! Didn't mean for it to sound like I was going off the deep end, but '82 & '83 and the music from then, were the the best years so far in my life. I guess we take what we can get and just ride it out the rest.
@spacrazie hey no worries, for me it was 82 to live aid after that i dont listen to much else, that era was my best time and i relate all of to these sounds

@CelticBadAss I don't think you understand. I would have used this when I was around 18, ...20 years after its release, I'm saying it's timeless (thank you Greg for showing me this back then!). But thanks anyway for the history lesson.
@rastaryeN I think the kids call it emo....great stuff i love the youtube jukebox auto playlist thingie...it helped me get a few panties off back in the day, now, to revive that feeling,
AVALON - FROM ROXY MUSIC-BEST album from the 80´s, take as all back to the coast of india and all that mystik about it..the glamour , the music, the good taste, the typical keyboards, Phil Manzaneras unique touch, Brian ferry james Bond looking, and at last but not least .........Mr. Brian Eno on the prodution , the track " take a chance with me" is somekind of good music. I have it on old vynil , and with a good glass of wine,, its the best you can have for a good chillout night.
As bad as this may sound, I love Roxy Music's songs from this album and I would give up my life to go back to 1982. This was the happiest period EVER in my life. I feel sad yet some peace hearing this. Thanks for taking me back to relive a few moments of the past.
its funny i think how with this album and 1980 flesh and blood how roxy music fit so well with the new romantic. wave of the early 80S i guess because they were doing it years before the wave ever hit...
I was blind, can't you see Through the long lonely night Heaven knows, I believe Won't you take a chance with me Sometimes I get so blue People say I'm just a fool All the world, even you Should learn to love the way I do I was lost, can't you see Through the long lonely night Heaven knows, I believe You can take a chance with me
Romance, angst, sensuality, beauty all leading to....GET YA KIT OFF! Roxy certainly did the trick in those days

Awesome track.
I'm sorry but, they don't write fucking music like this anymore.
This is a classic night time driving song...with no destination.
Thinking of the love, and the great times...that are forever lost in time...
