The major reason was high tariffs passed by Northern lawmakers so that the South would have to stop buying from Britain and other foreign nations and be forced to buy from the Northern industries. I am 15 years old. I am not a white supremacist. I support the South. I live in Alabama. Tariffs and Taxes yes ,you know your history. I think the Lincoln Administration could have kept the onion intact if they would have handled things differently regarding slavery. This is my opinion only. Make it profitable for the southern states to free the slaves to conform to the Preramble and the Constitution thru tax credits and reimbursment for each freedman having Wall Street involved with Southern industrialization to help the South.

The major reason was high tariffs passed by Northern lawmakers so that the South would have to stop buying from Britain and other foreign nations and be forced to buy from the Northern industries. Btw only my (I think) great great great grandfather served in the Civil War. And he rode with the 2nd Mounted US Cavalry. I still love the South and think the Confederacy was right in the general idea.

Iam canadian but when the south does rise again i hope im around to fight alongside them and i caint seem to find a confederate Flag anywhere here but ima keep lookin :)

@CanadianRebel0604 Check eBay. You can even get the historically accurate battle flags which are SQUARE, not rectangular which are the Naval Jacks.
