a lame hammer movie, with the reptile makeup only seen for a couple minutes.
this is the sort of movie that played saturday matinees, with the kids in the audience mostly throwing candy at each other and acting like wild animals till the good stuff came onto the screen.
I LOVE Jacqueline Pearce but what a laugh when Ray Barrett gets bitten and isnt 'meant' to die when everyone else turns black and foams at the mouth dead in seconds ; Barrett walks about 10 miles and gets over it ! Lol . John Laurie, "we're doomed" is here and yes Ripper ever the innkeeper OR 'Coachdriver' ; "i wouldnt go near there if i was you sir !" Lol
How about Michael Ripper: Ever the innkeeper, ever the cadaver.
Jacqueline Pearce there, at the height of her talent. A real natural beauty. And that was long before 'goth' became the idle off-the-peg number it is now.
Pity the monster turned out so lame, even as a kid I could see that they dropped the ball on this one. Jacqueline Pearce was quite the looker though!
