Is it true, that in Japan houses does not have central heating or insulation? Right now I'm seating next to radiator in 10cm styrofoam insulated building while it is -20*C outside and our gas (natural, not propane from tank) bills are high, I cannot imagine house without insulation...
Yes. The white cord is a gas line. Sockets of the gas cord are sturdy, and do not come off, so the cord are rather safe. This building is old, so there is no central heating.
@puku0987 Hmm.. Socket? You mean that you you have "gas sockets"? You can plug and unplug this "cord" (flexible gas pipe) from wall mounted gas socket, like electrical one?
In place where I live it is illegal to attach/detach gas equipment from gas pipe unless you are trained technician, so that's new for me :)
