  • my god the quality is pristine on this!!! how much does this camera cost u know? and does it have audio jacks for external mics?

  • i love that you did it all handheld.

  • Brilliant Vid, you edited and filmed well

  • Fantastic video, where abouts in Australia was this shot? And that is the most dangerous-looking busway I've ever seen...what's up with that?

  • It was shot around the river and park near my house which is in the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide.

Haha, the busway thing is the O-bahn. I guess I haven't thought of it as a big deal because I'm used to seeing it, but it's basically a concrete express track that buses can drive on without steering to get in to the city quickly.

It's pretty safe. I don't think there's ever been any accidents involving buses. Although, every so often you hear about some idiot who tried driving their car on it lol.

  • Hey! nice vid. I have the Z1 at school And I wondered how did you export the footage so you could upload it with such quality to Youtube? What program did you use?

    Thanks!

  • I'm pretty sure I exported it from Adobe Premiere Pro using the Media Encoder option.

I chose Quicktime as the format and encoded it using the H.264 codec.

Depending on the program you use, you can also use MP4 as the format with H.264.

(Sorry if that doesn't make any sense).

  • Awesome shots!, Can you tell me what song is that??

  • The song is called 'Mary Brings Meatballs' by John Powell from the Hancock Soundtrack.

  • Hey. You footage looks quite sharp. What lens did you use? Any 35mm adapter?

    cheers

  • Awesome, I love the shot of the flower at 1:18, and the skate park looks like an awesome place to film, its really grungy and dirty, it would be good for a drama type movie.

  • 24p?

  • I didn't notice or find a 24p setting when I borrowed the camera. But I think the whole "24p looks like film" thing is a bit of a myth. Unless you intend to print your movie to film, it's not really needed. It's pretty much impossible to tell the difference between 24fps and 25fps, which is what I was using.
