There are two parts to the story. The first is Zetsuai and the second is Bronze (Zetsuai from 1989). There are three OVAs: Zetsuai, Bronze, and Carthexis (the last one are Music Videos by Koji). However, everything is based on the manga. The beginning of the relationship is in Zetsuai which is five volumes long and complete, the second is Bronze and the scanlation is still ongoing. There is an extra called Bad Blood (complete).

@ggred123 Yup. It's several of Nanjo Koji's music videos strung together. If you want the OVAs look for 'ZetsuAi 1989' and 'Bronze: ZetsuAi since 1989'.

I think this was supposed to be set in the late 80s (thus Zetsuai 1989) so of course the music and the fashion and animation is rather of that time.

Good luck getting a hold of GOOD copies and complete copies of the series.I have two CD's made for me from the series and I ordered a set from E-Bay and that was OK and then I found on a P2P service a graphic clip that is def of Izumi and Kouji making love.More graphic (but beautiful) than I had previously seen so who the heck really knows !?

the first ova is called Zetsuai 1989 and the second ova is Bronze: Zetsuai since 1989. I've never seen these vids but they look like diff animations then the first two ovas so im a bit confused but i know they have a manga for it too. lolz i hope this helped

Bronze is still being continued in Japan (Last I heard), so I don't know what will happen next. You can download Bronze from a scadilator, you just need to find what group.

Note 2: Zetsuai is the 1st OVA, Bonze is the 2nd OVA, and Carthexis is the "3rd" OVA but is really just a mix of 5 MVs done by the Animators.
