  • Keady made a great impact on how I think of globalization. Thanks

  • I shamefully have quite a few Nike products. After seeing this, I will NEVER EVER buy a Nike product again.

  • @SU2340 it's not just nike who is making products in china, and sending it back into the usa. look at everything you buy, even your clothes. They are all made in china. unfortunetly it's the way of the world. I agree that the wages and lifestyle of a chinese factory sweatshop slave are horrible, but If they did not work for nike it would be somewherer else for less money. It is not just nike. Do research and look at Apple, general electric, and all the toys you buy for your children.

  • Oh my god, you mean people have to make choices and deal with the consequences. What about the alternative that happens? Those people in indonesia might be going into prostitution. they might have to work in the much hard fields and in worse conditions. Jim Keady, and anyone who agrees with him is wrong.

  • @slatchem2016 Jim Keady is NOT worng ok, and neither are the people who agree with him .yes those workers may end up in even worse conditions without a job , but doesn't it seem like Nike is taking advantage of that? Nike should be doing more to help with these conditions, and they ARE able to. The fact that they AREn't is just real upsetting.

  • @happyangelbaby125

saying something doesn't mean you're right.

    1) He said he was forced to resign-which is wrong. They gave him a choice and he chose to resign.

    2) "Having your human dignity undermined" is a statement based on a feeling not a fact that can be proven.

    3) Forced overtime and they get paid for it? No one is forced to work there. His statements don't make sense. If they don't want to work, then they will leave.

No, it doesn't seem like Nike is taking advantage of them.

  • @slatchem2016 are u a Nike supporter? just asking. but don't you feel like Nike should at least be doing more to help? and not just Nike but other companies that own sweatshops and are working in horrible conditions? and what about taking away their passports and givingthem a contract written in another language they couldn't understand but were forced to sign if they wanted work?

  • @slatchem2016 you are an idiot

  • @samtm7

Are you literally that stupid that you can't look at what was said and think, well, actually, everything he(as in me) said is true?

Smarter than me, you're just a freaking joke like all these other hippies.

  • @slatchem2016 You are so dumb. Theres a lot of factual evidence supporting his statement. You are in denial there chief. And what about me calling you an idiot makes me a hippie.?

  • @samtm7

Saying how much he made or how much weight he lost is a fact, yes.

But saying other stuff brings in morality and ethics which can and are different from other people.

What is great to one person can be miserable for others.

Life is tough. People make choices.

    Why can't you realize that?

  • Nike also deliberately choose areas where striking is illegal to produce their products, such and evil company!

  • Nike fucking ruined Chuck Taylors. They're the greatest shoes ever, now they're owned by Nike and made by 9 year old Indonesians.

  • this is wonderful! thanks for sharing. wish more men/women could have followed keady's footprints!

  • what a douche

  • if more people acted like Jim this world would be a better place, & i liked the fact that he was willing to take a stand against capitalist fascists and helped expose these people, even if it meant the loss of his job. Good work

  • @undeaddread

uhm, a capitalist fascists doesn't exists jackass. the terms are mutually exclusive.

  • @undeaddread

uhm, capitalist fascists don't exists you jackhole. they are mutually exclusive.

  • I attended your presentation at Georgia Southern University, thank you for continuing to shine a spotlight on this issue. I tell as many people I can about this and I feel others have a moral obligation to disparage Nike for their disrespect of our fellow global citizens.

  • Thank you for posting this video, i needed this kind of video for a school assignment. I appreciate people posting videos on youtube that have actual meaning, instead of a bunch of fucken idiots doing stupid shit.

  • This is very insightful. I feel so bad for Nike workers. Keady is amazing.

  • Keady is a hero. I hope he has time to watch the six videos I posted here at Utube about Nike using slave profits to privatize and expand the University of Oregon with eminent domain and the shadowy UO Foundation. To find them use the Utube search with keywords:nike university of oregon

  • Thank you for this video. I wish more people saw it.

  • Keep up the good work.
