  • @fireserpent26 the original song is from Suriname,. Square One did a remake of it. There is an interview with Allison Hinds on here talking about it. I think it is a national song from Suriname.

  • Anyone know what Faluma means?

  • Actually go to dance with this group years ago at Caribana in Toronto. We call it play'n mass. soo much fun my feet was killing me.

love it. love that the world enjoys it we are all connected through our love for music. food family and life.

  • Square One are a Barbadian soca band, formed in December 1986. They continued until 2005, splitting up after singer Alison Hinds left the group. They re-formed in 2010.

  • @neilyohan The band also became known as Square Roots or something-so, but it never had the same Caribbean-wide appeal under that name. Alison Hinds wasn't the only one to start separating from the band, Anderson (Andy) 'Blood' Armstrong started to do his own thing too.

  • @DigitalIslandboy he's the one that formed Square Roots after she left the band. Now he has a band with singer Mickey called Soca Cartel. Even tho he has formed that band square one still perform and do their thing together.

  • i love this song!!
