The good opera singers voice is Claudio di Adotto, he sings almost every night @ Casselli's Ristorante in Roxborough, PA right outside of Philadelphia. H ebrags about this all the time. He brought me the videotape years ago to show me he was in it. You can hire him to sing for events. He's nutty as a fruit cake though.
Before I even read your comments I was also reminded of Gahan Wilson, particularly by the old guy at 0:20. But most of it doesn't really look much like him. (not enough lumps)
OMG! I've been waiting for this one. Ironically I think I saw this one when I was in about 3rd or 4th grade in a hotel room because I was having a "Sesame Street Revival Stage."
Heh-and I use to think all those cars were in traffic because they loved that popular opera singer and were flocking around him.

The ilustrations look like the work of Gahan Wilson, whose drawings have appeared in magazines like the New Yorker, Playboy and National lampoon.

Gahan Wilson actually designed quite a few cartoons for Sesame Street, but this isn't one of them.

Ahh.. perhaps the impressionist work of Paul Faux-Gahan.

According to Muppet Wiki, Gene Barretta, Bill Barretta's brother, animated this one, and voiced the second tenor.

I don't know who made this, but it's very clever.
