Parking Part 1 - Camden Park/Hillbilly Hot Dogs

I've been to Camden Park several times. (It's an hour or two from my home) I enjoy it. To people who go mostly to big parks, it'd seem lame, but it's a good family place, and it's nice for a day trip.

I used to be a supervisor there and I agree with alot of this, and the games are a rip off. Your lucky you didn't ride the log flume because its river water, and I don't know if you have seen the Ohio. To the parks credit, it was the best job I ever had.

Did you know that a mound is in camden park? yea there is one right behind the bumper cars... and the shed it is a mound by the indians.. lol check it out :P

Re the hands on kiddie coaster thing--- I usually just put my arms on the sides of the car, as if sitting in a chair with arms.

I was born and raised in Huntington, and looking at this video made me realize how lame our state is but you gotta love it!!! HHHHHHOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMEEEE wrecker!!!! Friggin LOVE Hillbilly Hotdogz!!!!! Anyways the video was good but kinda embarrassing, WV needs more theme parks!

I went there over the summer. And rode two rides and got sick. I got on the Spider and lost my mind, then the damn Roundup made me puke. And I just couldn't enjoy myself after that.

Believe me, I would have loved to. Unfortunately, we made a bad mistake by eating at a horrible Shoney's earlier that day. It was all I could do to eat the two dogs I got. Everything on their menu looked amazing, but I just didn't have the intestinal fortitude...

Is this park still open ? I used to go there when I was a kid, in the early 70's. I have since moved to Fla, I thought they closed it down.

It's still there...the Big Dipper just celebrated its 50th Anniversary this year.
