instead of Roy, Gay and Rondo, Adam Morrison, Tyrus Thomas and Shelden Williams ended up in the top 5.

Morrison was clearly an average athlete and a one-dimensional player.

Thomas made some big plays, but he was kind of a 'tweener (lacked bulk for the 4), and has no offensive game.

Williams dominated at Duke, but he played center and didn't show enough quickness or perimeter game to shift to an NBA power forward. he was essentially a shorter, bulkier version of Emeka Okafor.

the 2006 draft came down to 5 players: 1) Roy, 2) Rudy Gay, 3) LaMarcus Aldridge, 4) Rajon Rondo, 5) Andrea Bargnani

somehow most of the experts missed the boat. Roy was still picked at 7 and Gay at 8, but the fact they fell out of the top 5 is ludicrous. Sure, Gay had questions about his focus and intensity, but when on he was clearly the most talented player in the draft. Rondo was shackled playing for Tubby Smith at Kentucky and never got to show his true ability.

Yeah Roy is not going to score 35 points a night, but he consistently will give you 20-25 points, 6-8 assists, and 5-8 rebounds a game and play lockdown defense and be huge in the fourth quarter. Roy had a 40.5 vertical at the workouts Gay had the same. Roy just doesn't showcase it like Gay does because he doesn't have to. Gay hardly has any moves while Roy makes people look silly with his smooth moves. Don't compare Ginobli to Roy. Roy is far better.

Thanks for putting that video together! Brandon Roy is such a likeable guy, and an even better basketball player. I think he will ultimately be remembered as the greatest Husky basketball player of all time.

While it is hard to narrow it down, the most impressive of all those clips happened at 7:18, I remember sitting in awe, speachless, for minutes afterward.
