I have a male and female in a community 55 litre tank. If any other fish get on his sand, he will pounce at you, i wouldnt like to be a neon tetra in my tank :)

I used a Panasonic Lumix LX3. It is good picture quality but there are limitations to the camera's video capabilities --no zoom and you can only record 10 minutes at a time.
