good stuff, but I heard this same group in August of 1981 at the Baked Potato and they really stretched out on these same tunes. This song, for instance, they jammed on for almost fifteen minutes. They played each song for at least ten minutes and it all just built naturally. Here they seem like they're rushing through the songs.
@jonescrusher1 No, I'm talking about the band with Jeff Porcaro on drums. I saw the group twice at the Baked Potato in the early 1980s. Once with Abe Laboriel on Bass. That one was a pretty amazing concert, maybe even better than the show with Pops Popwell on bass (the group on the recordings). Both concerts were fantastic.
@orenico96 Ah, I thought this was the only line up from that era. Must admit I'm only familiar with the later shows with Laboriel Landau and Colaiuta, which are stunning
