I just got this album and it's properly mental! The more 'aggresive' tracks are very hard going upon the first listen but there does appear to be an amazing amount of depth and innovation going on. I suspect it'll take me some time to fully understand what this music is about, which is no bad thing. All great forms of art should prove to be a challenge of sorts and force the recipient to adopt new ways of perceiving the world around them.
I know what you mean! I love bands and artists like this. Most of the time I listen to it and know I will like it, but I have to listen to it repeatedly. But that 1st time you hear it, you know it's special. I love the quote: “When people hear good music, it makes them homesick for something they never had, and never will have.” That feeling is creation, harmonics that is what you feel. It's the true voice of the universe, creation, god whatever you want to call it. Peace!
For some strange reason, I keep coming back to this album ever since I discovered it.. Is it the album art that draws me in or does the music possess a magical hypnotic quality that is quite original? Either way, it's something worth listening to..
You sir, are a legend for putting this up. I've been trying to find these guys on here for ages after hearing about them. Thanks. This is actually my first listen, and that's all down to you.
I dind't like it too much Pyramids, very experimental yes, but I hate a lot the drumachine. But I have to admitt that I love the Jesu remix of this song, is so fuckin' amazing, the atmosphere that they created is just brilliant and makes the song -in my opinion- deeper and intense. Just a beautiful masterpiece.
Yeah, as I mentioned earlier, this stuff doesn't interest me in the slightest.
To be honest I'm much more interested in hearing the cover track Blut Aus Nord did, if only because said band (apparently) added industrial elements to their latest albums and proclaimed them to be transcendental masterpieces not understood by mortal men.
...or at least so I hear; I suppose I should actually look into it myself.
Do you have the Toby Driver remix of this song, by any chance? Anyone know where to find it?
