I first was introduced to Molly Hatchet on April 14th 1979 , my 14th Birthday. Got a stereo and listened to the King Biscuit Flower Hour that night and Hatchet was playing Louisville Gardens. I went to Sears the next day and bought the album. My first concert was in 1980---30 or so shows later.......nuff said. Duane Roland was my absolute favorite. I was honored to meet him a few times. God Rest His Soul.
Got to meet him. and he wasa class act and an incredible guitarist. I too saw them many many times. Still one of my favorite bands. your memories will live on For my lifetime! God rest your soul, and I'll see you again one day.
Im just some schmoe who loved Molly Hatchet and saw them many many times and Duane was my absolute favorite. Had the honor of meeting him several times. God rest his soul. His music, life and talent LIVES FOREVER.
I met him in 1991 and got a picture with him as well. Like all of the past and present MH members Duane was a class act. He was a great guitarist and he is still very much missed. May God rest your soul, Duane.
I met Duane in 1984 in Hickory NC. I will always cherish the memories of the talks we had on the bus. My memories will keep him alive here in NC for sure.
got to shake his hand 3 times-RIP Mr. Duane Roland. For what it is worth to people seeing this -He was really cool to me and a really good person-Even though i didnt personally know him-he affected me- and for that im grateful.
God Bless Duane Roland. I was fortunate enough to shake his hand a few times- I grew up loving the REAL Molly Hatchet-all my buddies loved Dave-I always said the Engine was Duane. Flying V. God I miss him.
Duane, I used to love our morning smoke breaks watching the sun rise while you told me about your Molly Hatchet days. You were an awesome dude!

SHOCKED! Never heard one word of this! Danny Joe, and now Duane........
I IDOLIZED these guys, back in the day....stuck on a farm, with nothing but music to take me away....And i chose THEM,as my vehicle........
Such distinct sounds, and styles, they ruled the Late-70's-Early 80's!!
Got to see them in 83'....never forget them, and i still jam their music!! Peace.......

Helped him out twice while working at an ER in central Fla.
Very nice guy, he treated me with the utmost respect.
Being a Molly Hatchet fan, I was very proud to have met him.
Life can become rough at times....rip Mr. Roland.
