Eindeutig schlechtes Verhalten der Wiener Polizei- an diesem Vorfall sollte sich die Polizei kein Beispiel nehmen zur Euro08. Keine Kommunikation mit den Demonstranten und schlechte Organisation. Man hätte so einiges verhindern können.

An die Opernball Demo kann ich mich gut erinnern.... Da ist so einiges passiert! Aber am Jahr davor wars ärger, da wurden auch 200 Leute grundlos verhaftet...

anti-operaball demonstration have somewhat of a tradition. far left ppl demonstrate against as what they see as the upper class that attends the ball and generally against luxury and elites a.s.o. in their eyes its a symbol and a provocation of the pompous rich, blowing their own trumpet. but in recent years the demos were very small and not/hardly violent compared to the late 80s, early 90s.
