  • Redrum... Redrum... Redrum...

  • Thats a lot of blood... 0.o. Nice job makes me want to try fluid simulations again

  • Well. For some more realistic blood the floor should need some cleaning after. What we saw was blood on the floor and a special kind of wood that keeps blood off it.

  • the beginning isn't very realistic, as the blood shouldn't have so much tension...

  • the shining :)

  • Lol, how much time to render this?

  • what color is that like how did you make the red look that good?

  • Gears of war

  • can you send me a screen shot with what you use for colouring the blood

  • reminds me of the shining

  • I thught exactly the same :)

  • Reminds me of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.

    Good work!

  • can u post a tutorial on how u made this ????? plz this is the sort of project im looking 2 do myself and a tutorial will be a great help

  • Let's see YOU make something worthwhile then hm?

  • Two words: The Shining.

    Amazing <3

  • let's see yours poser

  • give it a higher resolution ^^

  • It looks like the chocolate in the first willy wonka movie

  • jesus what kind of willy wonka movie did you watch D:

  • lol, freaky.

  • omg how many ppl did u kill thats alot off blood there.

  • That is so sweet

  • wow, that's amazing!

  • it could be a bit thicker

  • it no tht good if u look 5 secs in 2 it

  • I love the textures you used, and how the thing just opens up and it all pors out.

  • lol the shining.....nice.

  • omg i thought it was like a lil handmade model...

  • cool

how did you make that effect

  • BLOOD OCEAN.

    I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    /watch?v=SKOIpeeFyzY&feature=related

  • How many people did you have to kill?

  • many many.... i did the dirty job my self...

  • oh..oh...oh god.. it-t-t just keeps going and going!! *runs off and screams*

  • What are the material settings for the blood?

  • cool....that happened to me before.............

  • it reminds me shining, well done ;)

  • this looks like my wifes vag on the 15th of every month

  • lol

  • lol

  • kool

  • that must have been a massive zit

  • LOL

  • i dont rekon it makes me sick,,

    i love it

  • Looks Like Koolaid.

  • Append:Yummy

  • its like many poeple been kill in side there :P

  • Yummy.

  • feel like vomitting

  • "It looks real :("

you compliment the realism of the fluid simulation, then make a frownie face? Make up your mind :P

I have to agree, it's pretty cool.

  • Omg it makes me sick, someone is seriously losing blood, bloody great job!

    Damn, I almost puked.

  • Nice texturing. The blood should have a slightly higher viscosity than water, and it should be a somewhat "sticky". Great job.

  • That was Super cool. Where Can I learn to make fluids in Blender?

  • try doing the elevator doors scene from The Shining :)

  • that's what this was based on. Planning on doing it for real soon when I have time, with all the stuff modeled realistically

  • I think maybe something which would of helped was if the blood stuck to the surfaces once it's gone over it. Blood in real life doesn't wash over the top of something and not leave a stain. Just a thought, still very cool though.

  • sorry grady, i meant to agree with you but accidentally hit the red...

  • man that is so awesome i was doing it too but it is so hard and yours is really great

  • well...that must've been some cut huh?

  • woah. this is real. xD

  • one question. How much time did it take to render?

  • not too long, less than 10 hours. I do have a quad core cpu with Opteron chips though

  • that must have taken ages to render

  • awesome the blood could be a little darker though and the lighting could have been changed so it doesnt reflect off the blood

  • god i could be sick! that looks great!

  • Hearken back to the Stanley Kubrick/Jack Nicholson Shining a little? But nice job. One trick I've learned, though, is to crank the resolution up as high as you can without getting error messages and crashing Blender (you want to save the .blend file before doing it.). It takes longer (usually a good overnight calculation for 250 frames or so, setting Blender to 'high/realtime priority' in the task manager window. It takes longer, but the results are even better. Nice work, though.

  • that looked so really i was going to throgh up

  • Great work! which material setting do you use?

  • I've been using blender for quite a while and I'm new to the fluid sim. Great work.

  • i dont get this program at all. AT ALL

  • It's expert-friendly, that's all.

  • Nice vid! The only thing missing are wetmaps. And maybe some more friction between the liquid and the floor.

  • realistic is another think...but anyway, i like tests...

cg fluids are really a challenge, but there arent much tools on the market, companys keep this stuff inhouse...

  • not anymore. blender's fluid sim is easy, and blender 2.43 is about to be released

  • @teddygage I have 2.49. When's 2.5 gonna be released? Will the tutorial book still be useful?

  • blood are a bit more dense and with some impureces like some meat disolved on it anyway well done, (better pull up the friction to blood stay pasted to floor)

  • Very well done. The blood should stick to the floor a bit more, It kinda looks like red mercury.

  • The Shinning XD

  • niccceee , lol i dowloaded blender to see cuz it look betyta then endrophing but it was fricken had i had like for 2mins then delted lol

  • no one figures out blender in 2mins... I've been doing blender for over 12months now and I'm still only now capable of doing an "simple" animation eg simple 3D character walking. It's like anything in life worth doing, it takes work and practice and perseverance. The trick with blender is to not give up, if you can do that then you will get it.

PS: @teddygage NICE work! Maybe when you've perfected it you could right a tutorial?

  • I did fluid on almost my first try XD

  • Right, me too. Blender was easy for me because I saw a bunch of tutorials. And to anybody reading this, download Blender and start looking for video tutorials. I would sincerely recommend Super3Boy's tutorials, they explain everything about Blender.

  • I can't pay enough attention to tutorials. My only complaint is that Blender is far more complicated than need be.

  • @ ThatguycalledJoe

    It's 3D, it's supposed to be complicated.

Practice makes perfect, and in this case, a LOT of practice.

3D animation requires patience, and if you DON'T have that, you shouldn't really be doing 3d animation.

  • Well I don't have that patience, and I don't do 3D, so I guess it all works out.

  • WAH ! Awesome bloody hell :D

  • What a carnage! Well done. Looks like it almost filled the box near the end.

  • Haha... Awesome!.. Makes me think of the shining...

  • Sweet..
