I was in London in the middle of June, and the only thing we didn't do/see was the Eye, Tower of London tour and the Jack The Ripper tour. London is a place that anyone that has any level of interest in history or traveling should visit. It's far enough away to really feel like you've gotten away from home (we live in Tennessee), but the way of life is still similar to the states so you don't get too overwhelmed. I'm hoping I get to go back in my lifetime.

I feel the views from the top of St Pauls cathereral, pictured at 1:50 are much better than the eye and it's half the price, though you will have to climb the stairs all the way to the top.

You asked about flight price, but never asked from where, so i'm guessing you're American. Round ticket should cost you around 400-500 bucks if booked wise. Do your independent research on hotel prices, because it's up to you wheter you wanna spend 20 or 200 punds per night. Public transport is ridiculously expensive. For longer stay (week+), buy an Oyster Card. It will save you money and you won't spend more than 7-8 pounds per day. Fast food +/- 5 quid, restaurant food 10-20gbp.
