my parents used to do that dancehall stuff back in the day and they said the death threats have nothing to do w/ her race. Jamaican women are just... voilent. Even if she was a native jamaican, they still would try to kill her. My mom told me some girl tried to throw acid on her once because she was rocking the club.

I'm Jamaican and this is true. It's not a race thing. Jamaicans are very open to other cultures and welcoming to people to embrace the culture. And Asians doing dancehall is common there.

Japan has always embraced Hip-Hop and Raggae and had even put there own interpretations on it which sound really good. They have gotten other countries like China, Italy, England, Brazil, and a bunch of other countries to embrace Hip-Hop and Dancehall and even to go for Hip-Hop and Dancehall titles. One thing you have to love about music, it sees no color or race. It brings everyone together, like the Japanese and the Jamaicans did. Music soothes the savage beast
