  • Tgere are somee major flaws in this invention...

  • What if the batteris ran flat?

  • A lot of uninformed comments on this video. This is a Sunnect AP501 deadbolt unit. I bought one a year ago and it is a phenomenal product. The deadbolt is incredibly strong, well built, bump proof, fool proof, reliable, effective, secure and easy to use. The 4AA batteries that came with the unit are still in it today after a year of an average of 10 entries per day. I have tried nearly dead AA batteries and you do get an audible warning. I love the tag keys, activation and deactivation ability.

  • I have an idea... How about you made a knob of some sort so people can open the friggin thing! :) Love Mr. Pissed off Customer!

  • crap no i feel like having one...

  • 1234 is not a secure password :P

  • What happeneds when you forget to Change the batteries Lmfao

  • uh need more info!!!!

  • Cool

  • what happens if the battery is dead and u come home and cant unlock the door?

  • @DevyDisaster Watch at 2:00 You can turn the nob if the bateries die

  • If you are outside and the batteries are dead, there is an emergency power terminal that you can hold a 9V battery to, to power it. Before everyone starts attacking the fact that no one has 9Vs, I have this terminal and the batteries in mine have lasted about a year, and it notifies you when the batteries are low. The 9V power terminal is on a different circuit that won't allow people to surge the system through these ports.

  • @robbinsdw88 Also, for those confused on the reset button, all it does is restart the hardware, it doesn't reset passwords... Sort of like pulling the battery on your cell phone if it's acting dumb.

  • oh this annoying music again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @labka2 Its porn music!!! :-D

  • @B4BProductions

I was wondering the same thing when i saw the batteries involvement....:D :D :D My answer is simple: FORTRESS :D :D

  • why not just stick a paperclip in the reset button on the outside?

  • you have the smallest thumbs

  • what happens when the battery dies an you locked outside

  • Comment removed

  • 1 drill hole next to lock

    2 insert hanger wire

3 bend pull back touching the button

4 walk through open door :)

  • @17hmr243 To be honest... you are more than right, the lock is stronger than the door.. If they actually hardened the door I think I would give up and bust out a window...

  • @redallround You use the manual Override

  • so what happens when it runs out of battery and no one is home -_-

  • okkkk so all u have to do is hit the plastic with a hamer knock it off then unscrew 3 screws and open?>? ok

  • I WANT ONEEEE!!!!!!! lol

  • @B4BProductions read the descrription

  • lol really wat if the battery dyes

  • what if the batteries ran out????

  • what if you are locked out and the batteries go out while you are on vacation? seems the battery placement is on the inside of the door

  • @cky283 Why not make a mod for the door lock where it runs on the power from your house?

  • @lookoutcar ah, that would actually work quite well. Even an additional solar panel on the exterior to ensure such things won't happen.

  • What do you do when the batteries run out?

  • What about when it runs out of batterys juice? Then what

  • @ZomgAnAlien after unlocking it you just push open the door

  • OMG, what if the battery runs out when nobody left and locked inside? ?

  • @bikoman17 there is menual override

  • one question how the fuck do u actually OPEN the damn door

  • Comment removed

  • @ZomgAnAlien You turn the handle which on most doors is right below the deadbolt which is what is being shown in this video. ;)

  • My Bump Key can figure out the code .

  • @areyouseriousiam No. it's bump-proof.

  • You can attach a 9 volt battery at the bottom if the AA batteries die

  • Nice watch,

  • what happens when the lock runs out of batteries?

  • @111Battlefieldhero you place a battery on the exterior terminals to power it up from outside the home.

    osnap.

  • @Moleculow thats pretty smart

  • I find it annoying when people play cheesy music in an intro...

  • I find it annoying when the lock is actually stronger than the door itself...

  • So as many have mentioned before, how do you get into the house once the batteries are out and how do you open the door once it's unlocked from the side where the door swings outward?

Was it really necessary to remove the handle to the door? :x

  • @Beckasin hate to tell you but it is a dead bolt, so they must have not taken the door handle off just the dead bolt second i am sure it tells you its dying.

  • What if the battery in your car died. Would you drag your car around behind you crying? Log onto YouTube and rant about how everyone need not to drive any more, or read what to do when that happens before hand, or ask for help. What happen when your phone reads the batt. is low? Will you scream and grab random folks in the streets in a panic? Power supplied from the wall fails just like any thing else. If whats in your house is so valuable, why trust a 400 dollar lock in the first place.

  • Make this z wave compatible and I will buy two.

  • It runs out of batteries, "NOOOOO!!!, I forgot my wallet!!!!"

  • TheTankspeed-I Agree With U

  • My mum has something just like this. Except her's is hooked up to her electrics so it doesn't run off batteries. She isn't able to use a key no more.

  • and if the batteries run out...

  • i want one! i always forget my keys home :D

  • 1234 is what everyone uses to keep their house safe these days (not)

  • i would just break the door down... lol

  • what if the batteries run out and ur out side ?

  • if you shoot the plate that locks it..will it open?

  • yeah forgot to change batteries then fucking lock up your elf in the room. good enuf excuse to skip school

  • *BEEP.. BEEP.. BEEeeeepppu......*

-"Huh? OH crap, i forgot to change teh batteries!"

    *batteries not included!

  • @Demingosan batteries last a year :)

  • XD I see these kind of locks in a lot of Korean dramas they are so awesome!!!

  • what is the battries die when no 1 is in?

  • You could simply figure out which numbers have finger prints and get that bitch open in 2 minutes. Or a crowbar. either way that shit isn't going to stop me from getting in.

  • we figured out your password!!!! 1234

  • @klumzee008 Woow your so fuckin lame haha... all that swearing over something like that? Really got a hardass behind that keyboard huh? Get a life and go talk to girls faggot haha

  • me: "hey tom whens you birthday?"

    tom: august 9 1985 why?"

    me: "no reason...

tom:"hey want to come to dinner with me and ally tonight?"

    me: " no i got....stuff to do"

  • i thought it was the KEYless security

  • What's the passcode again? Oh yeah, I wrote it down and put it on my key ring!

  • lmao, i was gonna say what if ur batteries die and u can just hi it with a hammer but everyone is way ahead of me xD

  • unless its all solid metal a sledge hammer would work quite well

  • Wait not only will I not be able to get into my house when the batteries die, how the hell am I going to get out of my house when im inside with no door handle? The guy that invented this didnt think this through enough before making this...

  • @Moleculow hahahaha

  • i think its cool. We had something like that for our home. But then it just got stupid kinda crazy on us and locked us out on more than one occasion.

  • it's just missing one thing it should be able to charge by sola power or be able to be plugged in to a wall socket.

  • @Jackcc5 how are you going to be able to plug it in a wall socket dumbass

  • might as well make a custom lock =__=

  • this sounds like a fucking broken record playing

  • And all we have to do to break in is unscrew it and take the batterys out? Not very idiot proof there O.o

  • sooooo. . . . what happens when the batteries die?

  • this song makes me wanna eat people

  • the funny part is i can just kick that door open and what good does an expensive lock (sorry security system) does for me...?

  • @GIMMEHDAT theres a 9volt batttery terminal on the front of the unit. simply put a 9 volt battery on the terminal then its lights back up

  • @xcmskim4 so you'll have to carry a 9 volt battery with you at all times? Man...

  • I want one

  • I want one

  • i would solder a inbuilt backup cell battery

  • pepole are failing this cause its not kipkay XDDD

  • what happen if the battery run out? what a fail...

  • hell just dump water on it and and if your wife or hubby kicks you out dump water on it and they are fucked lol

  • seems pretty easy just to take a sledge hammer and within maybe 3 swings the whole panel is off and then just take out the lock... hmm maybe the flatscreen first

  • This music is entirely too annoying.

  • id battiries run out just manual overide like in video idiots, this is still lame tho useless

  • @myspaceuser567 how can u manual overide when ur outside - and the fucking battery dies inside - u fucking pillock

  • @calmdragon hello kid, in the video it says manual over ride, which does not require battery power, u F**C**ing pillock (lols)

  • @myspaceuser567 U cnt mnaual override from outside u son of a bitch (loling whilst fingering ur mother)

  • @calmdragon OBVIOUSLY ur parents abandoned u, which is why u curse every sec, get a life, get more then 0 friends. and then see a therapist. good day child.

  • i want one of these for my room xD

  • ya but what the hell happen when u leave and the battery's die and u cant get the **** in

  • @thedawn1000 u lurn tu uze teh outsyd battury turmunulz.

  • looooool now i know ur password

  • @arsalanno i call his tv

  • Good but not usable...

  • it has novelty value. appears secure but i'm trying to understand why it's necessary. what advantage does an electronic system offer? carrying a tag key is essentially the same as carrying a key for a tumble lock deadbolt system...except you don't have to exert any energy to twist, which is a pretty lame excuse to get this. the key pad is nice but, again, aside from not having to worry about carrying a key, it doesn't seem to advance security in any way. this is an expensive lateral move at best

  • What if the batteries run out, and the owner is outside?...

  • @Timelesscow then you put a gun to your head and pull the trigger because your antidepression meds are inside.

  • Really cool

  • Lol a guy trying to get it would try to figure out the pass code he would just break the thing =P

  • I saw a manual override button. Maybe you can use a key in case the batteries run out.

  • @sk8er2859 manual override is only inside .. u need a 9v battery if u battery is dead .

before the battery dies it will beep to let u know that its low on power.

  • @mythkw Oh... I didn't watch the whole video so I missed that part....

  • AWESOME COMMENT MAN>>>>>..................]LOL

  • TO ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE ASKING WHAT IF THE BATTERIES RUN OUT go to dollar store and look for a batterie that says guiness world records that batterie lasted a year

  • ill imagine if i got summer vacation and when i com back no battery i better get some extra battery hidden under my carpet or go to a super market for battery

there something you didn't show what happen when battery dies do you have to set a password again that will be funny battery dies and a robber came with battery and set a new code and you have to live on the street.

  • worst music ever

  • if you really wanted to get inn a door use dynamite!

  • I shipped one from the US to London. I have it for 2 years no problems whatsoever. If ever the batteries (last 1 year) run flat you stick a 9V at the contacts and you can unlock as per normal. You can also add extra false digits when you key in if you think someone is watching. It is not stupid, it is called technology.

  • this thing should be hooked up to mains power

  • So all theives need to do is set up a camera or just watch out for you putting your code in, then they can enter at will =] The also have the ADDED bonus of having a tag to steal as well.

As opposed to just having to physically steal a key. Gotta love when people make it easier for themselves to be ripped off.

  • What if your battery dies out?

  • HOLY FUCK

  • They should have a small backup battery so atleast you can get into your house to change the batteries... Use as a Fail-Safe

  • lol if someone steals the tag key u r fucked xD

  • @TheAndromada that just like someone getting ur normal key...

  • Umm if batteries are dead and ur outside then?

  • It seem that people here worry more about batteries than safety. Haters Alert!!!

  • to break into it just bang on the door. the batteries will fall out and you can just credit card it open from there

  • i have one in my house but its a different one instead of that fake key we have to use our thumbs and it scans our finger print

  • I prefer keys :)

  • Looks like there is no room fro the doorknob

  • @supernoob6 dude door nob goes on the bottom

  • hahahahah so true!

  • what happens when your on vacation and you get home to a lock with dead batterys

  • There is a spot on the front where you can hold up a 9 volt battery and the lock will use it as the power source until you get inside. I have two of these locks installed right now.

  • @Moleculow ugh.... same.

  • Will this lock able to set in quiet mode? I hate those pee pee pee or buzzing sound when lock or unlock.

  • and if the battery dies cou outside from your house and come in =)

  • if you run out of aa's does your door unlock?

  • Thats what i was just gonna say!

  • where can i get 1 ?

  • what you do is you undo the top screw register your tag key and ur in to some randoms house lol its that easy

  • The passkey button is on the inside of the panel on the inside of the door as in NO WAY TO GET IN unless you have the password or key.

  • LOL

  • what if your outside of your house and the thing's batteries die

  • it has a connection under keypad for backup battery 9v

  • @midnightssniper i think there is something called battery changes smart ass

  • Smash it with a sledge hammer

  • wow its like... 300$

  • gay as fuck rethink invetion

  • there is sooooooooo many of these in korea

all the locks are like that

  • Does this mean when the batteries inside the keypad run out i cant get in my house?

  • yes xD

  • @GIMMEHDAT LOL!

  • lmfao so true

  • @GIMMEHDAT also if some one tries to break in the door might just open

  • no!

  • @GIMMEHDAT you are right. . Battery last about a year depending on how often you use it. They didnt forget about that though, on the bottom their is a 9V temporary power terminal. You wont be left outside. Just have one in the car just in case. Just bought mine and cant wait to test this beast... : ) believe me I did a hell of a research on this..

  • @GIMMEHDAT There is a battery terminal that can be hooked up to the front of the lock if the batteries die.

  • @GIMMEHDAT

In that case you would have to ring the neighbors to ask for some AA batteries... :D

  • @GIMMEHDAT ive got a other system with batteries But when it detect the batteries are low it go flashing an bleeping

  • @GIMMEHDAT i wanted to say that XD

  • @GIMMEHDAT It beeps when its on low power which gives you about a week or more to change the batteries, the batteries live for about a year and if you're still lazy enough to not change the batteries you can still power the unit temporarily with a 9V battery.

  • you right how do we get inside

  • i thick dats why they have the manual override switch

  • @GIMMEHDAT No.

In case there is a lack of power from the internal AA batteries, a 9V battery can supply temporary power from the outside.

  • @GIMMEHDAT Oh no fat people have to run across the street to walgreens to get batterys.. The fat people will die! xD

  • What is this? Back to the Future Part 2?

  • All of you saying "What if the battery dies" There is a spot on the outside to hook up a 9volt battery. Many other electric locks have a backup key, but of course you'd have to have your key with you, so you're screwed if the battery dies and you don't have the key.

In this sense, this is actually better than those other ones because any old 9V battery will work, but then you still need the combination or the keyfob-the lock functions as normal.

  • instead of using battery only I think direct power form the house is better then battery will be only power for electricity blackout energency

  • Sooo what about the window?

  • ouuuch the music HUUUURTS

  • way to go, if the battieries die your locked out of your house or room.

  • watch the entire video before commenting, theres a manual tag key there.

  • I FUCKING HATE THE MUSIC!!!

  • that music gave me a headache.

  • A bit stupid if a guy opens the cover and it lights blue till it's out of power. Then no one can get inside... Then you have to live on the streets. FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
