He's using power slides. The ones with out the heel clip so when he continuously hits them his feet won't slide fully off. I use the same because the heel clips always fuck me up.

i've played both pearl and tama and it depends on the style that you're playin. for example; joey jordison using pearl, mike portnoy using tama, if you want strong bass use tama, if you want to play very strong and fast, then use pearl. they have different positive and negative points, you cant compare drums or guitars by name of the drummer or guitarist, compare them by the style of music and the way that drummers' or guitarists' play..
it depends on everyone's preferences!I like for example snares which have deeper sounds,almost like a floor tom.You know,like the snares in the 80's.I adore power metal and death metal and I think the lousy snares are just fine for this genre!I won't blame you cuz you don't like Tama snares,just make sure that you keep rockin' with your drumkit\m/

They dont know anything about drums and only thing that they think matters, is speed.
Then they say that Joey is the best drummer because the THINK hes the fastest there is.
They have never even heard about drummers like Derek Roddy or George Kollias.
I AM NOT SAYING THAT ALL SLIPKNOT-FANS ARE DOING THIS(just 99% of 10-12 years old fans).

ARgh fuck all you guys who says that: "doh Joey is better than Jaska!" or: "Hrmpf Jaska rules joey sucs!" (not real quotes) YOU CAN*T COMPARE THOSE TWO! they play diffrend styles music and I happend to like both bands. and I think that Children of Bodom plays better, but That doesn't mean that I can't like SlipKnoT :O think about that.

He's not all speed,he uses a lot of accents and off beat rhythms.
