I know what you mean its sooo annoying to see some stars of today that can only act. and I'm a singer a dancer and an actress and well it makes me think to myself fuck them yeah know like i CAN DO THAT SO MUCH BETTER yeah know?
Love this too. I'm ill in bed and needed some entertainment, these sing- and dance-performances from the old movies are perfect to get you in a better mood whenever you need it!
A perfect example of the real talent. Don't get me wrong there are A LOT of talented actors these days. But in the old days most of them were taleneted (from what I saw).
I've never met anyone who disliked this movie. I love it!!!!
Many people consider The Wizard of Oz as the greated musical of all time. I love Garland, but this -in my opinion- in the greatest : Singin' in the Rain. And not just the greatest musical, but one of the greates movies of all time.
There are a lot of talented people out there now, but not like Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire! Oh man! I wish more people danced like that now! I looove tap dancing and older dances. That's one reason why I love Broadway so much! Some dances now are cool, but you have to love the movements in the older dances!
My English professor who HATES musicals even loves this movie!! It truly is the greatest!! My roommate doesn't like it, but she just doesn't have good taste! Hahaha
dayum, I read somewhere that Debbie Reynold's feet were bleeding after this routine, and it's no WONDER! Those are some fierce moves, to say the least. But they all pulled it off like champions. Classic. They sure don't make em like they used to.
LOVE IT! I just can't understand why Gene was so mean to Debbie. He didn't feel like she was a strong enough singer/dancer to be in the role. But he was mistaken! Love Gene and Debbie and Donald too! Great team.
simply awesome! You hit it carywhitt...I don't know what the hills is, but we need more of this stuff and less of the crap that is on tv now. Awesome song and tap dancing.
I love this song and this movie! When I was a CIT at camp, our councilers woke us up with this song every morning... Which made me only slightly less annoyed that we had to get up so early XD.
and what impresses me the most is that debbie reynolds had never danced before this movie. imagine just learning how to dance and having to keep up with gene kelly. i have a ton of respect for her.
you should change the title to keep people from being so mad

stars back then were so multi-talented. they could sing, dance, and even act. these days its rare to find someone who could even do one of them!!!
