  • How do you make the ditch lights flash on the Diesel engines without actually blowing the horn? Thanks!

  • @Wontonwabledoo On your DCS remote, you can make them flash all the time, have them run normal (flash when you blow the horn, or turn them off entirely. If you don't have a DCS remote, I don't know of another way.

  • are the dash 9s made by MTH

  • so if i have dc, can i just get the dcs commander and it will work? will it record and play back as well or do i need something else?

  • @9720680 I don't know what you would do if your power source is DC.

  • twoquestions how big is your board and what are the curve radius's?

  • In board size, I'm assuming you're asking how big my layout was in this video. It was 8'x16'. I was using 0-72 curves. My current one in more recent videos is 14'x20' with 0-81 and 0-72 curves.

  • how many tracks can a single TIU support? because i'm planning on buying the DCS soon. BTW nice video

  • I haven't attempted to try to "max out" the TIU since my layout hasn't begun yet. As of now, I would say it can handle 4 sets of tracks, but the combined total amount of amps should not exceed 8 amps or else you risk smoking it

  • ok thanks.

  • cool

  • Amazing how much DCS will do... very cool... Take long to program that sequence right ?

  • I tried to cut out the "down time" as much as I could...down time meaning time spent pushing buttons and making the engines begin to move each time. If you screw something up, you have to start over again. It takes as long to program it as much as the playback time takes. Its great to have if you have visitors and you hit a couplr buttons and away it goes and you don't have to do anything...you can watch with them

  • sorry i keep asking questions, but I have another. (lol) What kind of track are you usnig? Brand I mean

  • I am using Atlas track...I think its the most realistic track. Others that I know like Gargraves...which looks similiar and has real wooden ties. I re-fill the smoke units when the smoke begins to die down...or I'll add some when I'm done running them, which ever comes first. There is no set time to add fluid. If I run them continously?.....I would say every 1/2 hour

  • How often do you have to re-fill the smoke units?

  • that is a sweet feature, what will they come out with next?

  • VERY nice! Your a great proponent for the hobby!!

    :-)

  • Awesome video! Great demo of DCS!
