Pacquiao cannot be called the welterweight champ in any kind of way. He has yet to allow an opponent to weigh 147 lbs. I predict he will never have another fight without a catchweight. Pacquiao cannot be called the welterweight champ in any kind of way. He has yet to allow an opponent to weigh 147 lbs. I predict he will never have another fight without a catchweight. Note that when the fight with Clottey was announced there was no mention of weight for the fight. These people don't care about the fans, but only the money they bring. If there is a true Welterweight champion right now that would have to be Mosley at the full 147lbs.

Manny is not a natural welterweight he went up to fight bigger guys therefore by common sense, a catchweight is needed.

Pacquiao is a good fighter who wants the glory of fighting big name welterweights without the risk of loosing. A catchweight of 145 lbs for welterweights like Colttey and Cotto is going to adversely dehydrate them. They already have trouble making 147 lbs. The big looser in all this is the anti Pacquiao fan who wants to see the other fighter have a level playing when he steps into the ring. If u add to that Pac-Mans refusal to do random drug testing it paints a pretty clear picture.

Well, for me, Pacman is the best fighter in the planet today. He just has that burning passion every time he's in the ring that powers him up his original strength.
However, he shouldn't get cocky or anything at the moment because Floyd is also one heck of a fighter. I've seen his fights and I commend him for his quick stepbacks and counter attack techniques. The only downside is his attitude.

Mosley signed to fight andre berto. How is he gonna mess everything up fighting in January. By then i think we will have heard Manny and Floyd have agreed to a 50-50 split b/c realistically neither are gonna agree to less and the promotors know that. Sugar Shane knows the world wants to see one fight and the Manny and Floyd. If it's not their next fight the fighters and everyone involved in the negotiations have failed alot of people. It's gonna happen b/c they know it must happen next.
