  • Grew up listening to the double album with this track on it. Always drove me nuts someone could play this way and live. Got to see Buddy around 80 times in my life. Although there are many great drummers around now I would still give anything to hear him one more time.

  • If u listen carefully towards the end u can one hear one of the sideman shout "Go Buddy Go"!

  • Early 70s, dad took me to see "Rich vs. Bellson" at Robin Hood Dell (east) in Philly. Buddy never showed. Louie thrilled the crowd all by himself, saying that Buddy was ill; though HE was "the best drummer he had ever seen."

I was only 13. BR "Live at Ronnie Scott's" was out at the time. The audience reacted positively to Louie for being the class guy he was, and for carrying the show.

  • O maior baterista de todos os tempos!!!

  • Paid $35 bucks to see him in Sommers Point NJ one summer night in the 70's. He got pissed off for some reason after the second number in the set and walked off the stage. It was worth the $35 just to see that!

  • not too long before he died I got to see one of the very last of buddy rich gigs at Bristol Hippodrome, we had crappy theatre seats, right at the back, ...but even from there it was great. blistering stuff . really glad I saw him live

  • And this song is available on the CD Krupa and Rich.

  • just a snare and bass drum and a cymbal, incredible !
